I asked my Indian coworkers about this today. They said he's not the absolutely most famous Indian actor, but he's certainly in the top 10 and he has a lot of International fame. They said it'd be like Bradley Cooper or Christian Bale suddenly dying...in relative fame Bollywood to Hollywood.

The Namesake star is how I remember him. I've been meaning to watch some of his Bollywood movies and now will definitely do so.

    May he RIP

Seeking treatment for cancer in the UK seems like a poor choice. If he has the cash and the clout why not go MD Anderson.

He's easily the most prominent Indian actor globally and to the Western world. The Khans (Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir) have longevity on him but haven't been in multiple global hits.

    Fk 2020. Rest in peace

Have always liked him in anything he does.

He was especially good in, In Treatment.

I totally forgot he was in Life of Pi. I remembered Jurassic World being his big Hollywood film. Great actor and sad loss.
