That was a bit earlier. I’ve wondered when thinking about those days if a star player on the Celtics or the Lakers, two powerful teams during that decade who were featured regularly on NBA broadcasts, would have been treated the same way by the league had they been caught “using.” Players like Bird or Magic, although I don’t mean to imply that they put themselves in that position. Just musing over a “what if.” I seriously doubt that they would have been treated the same way as Lucas, Lloyd, or Wiggins.
