    Sorry all. Too many Killians.

I really can't come up with anything after the Beatles, though. I'm an album man, not a band man.

    Led Zep

    and four other bands........let's see.....

    The Eagles
    Pink Floyd
    Aerosmith
    ZZ Top

The Eagles were a no brainer for me (though I'm sure hardly anyone on this board will respect that). The other three I listed simply by virtue of the fact that I've listened to most of their albums over and over again.

No particular order and listed under duress, as I believe Bob Dylan and the Band should be allowable as should Neil Young and Crazy Horse and Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, but I'll play nice.

    The Who
    The Kinks
    The Pretenders
    Velvet Underground
    The Ramones

Honorable mention: Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, KISS, The Band, Talking Heads, XTC, Utopia, Queen, Steely Dan, The Police, Blondie and about thirty others that don't readily come to mind.

    Top five local bands:

    Fleshmop
    Horseshoe
    de Schmog
    middlefinger
    JW Americana

Honorable mention: Sprawl, Joint Chiefs, Keenlies, elevator up, Poor Dumb Bastards, Medicine Show, Two Star Symphony

Well, I'm just a little younger than you and I haven't neglected the roots of greatness such as Led Zep, The Doors, AC/DC, CCR, etc. I'm not discounting the bands you said, I like some of them, but ya gotta listen to when Rock was in it's prime.

Damn. Add The Clash too. And The Beach Boys while we're at it. But not the Byrds (ruined too many Dylan tunes). Thanks, nyrocket.
