It seems there are quite some quotes from Yao but obviously many stuff are YangYi's opinion and interpretation of the situations. Sometime the quotes meant one thing and Yang twisted those somehow in the follow ups. Anyway, read the quote but don't follow the Yang's followups serious. Form your own opinion.
This proves how little everyone around here knows about the rockets. Before we start taking sides and blaming players, we look deeper into it. Yao Ming will no doubt keep Francis here at least until they win together.
Show what? Mr. Mean will say: I told you so! Be tough and be mean! Oh well, the direction was right but the means are all wrong. I am afraid of that Steve Francis is experiencing the same route under JVG as Yao did under Larry Smith. The direction is right but the means is not right for Steve. Good luck JVG.
from the author yao initially agreed to write the opening for his book but didn't do so only because team yao sold the rights for the first yao book to an espn writer called ric for 1.5m dollars.
So who stabbed Rudy in the back while he as sick, as Barkely was flat out saying when Rudy T was replaced? I haven't seen many games this season. But I wonder how much of Francis' struggles have to do with JVG's scheme not playing the Francis' strengths (scoring, rebounding, playmaking off the dribble) and playing up his weaknesses (being a true point) to the point that the kid has gotten frustrated to the point that it is affecting his entire game? The Francis bits make me wonder what really has been going on with JVG and Francis... other than Francis poorly handling of whatever went down during the Superbowl thing.
Yao Ming's struggle under Smith are similar to Francis' under JVG,luckily Francis will adjust even more before the playoffs.
Cool thanks...time to go play some Dynasty warriors, the Yellow Turban Rebellion will be crushed by Rudy Tomj--errrr, I mean Liu Bei!
from the book nike almost sealed the deal with yao but due to a mistaken clause in the contract (can't tell is careless or intentional) yao decided to sign with reebok, nike was shocked after hearing his decision and offer a second bid which equals one of lebron plus 2/3 of kobe's contract combined but it was too late.
something about yao and his girlfriend ye li from the book: ¡¡2002ÄêµÄ´ºÌ죬ҦÃ÷ÄÃÍêCBA¹Ú¾üµÄʱºò£¬ÎÒÔø¾_ÎÊËû£¬ÒªÊǽ«À´È¥´òNBA£¬ÔÚ¼¾ºóÈü¿ªÊ¼Ö®Ç°£¬Ò¶×ÓÓÐÊÂ˵ÈÃÄã»ØÀ´¡£ÄãÒª»ØÀ´£¬¾ÍÄò»ÁË×ܹھü£»ÄãÒªÁôÔÚÃÀ¹úÄÃ×ܹھü£¬¾ÍºÜÓпÉÄÜʧȥËý£¬ÄãÔõô°ì£¿Ò¦Ã÷¸É¸É´à´àµÄ˵£º»ØÀ´¡£ spring 2002, right after yao won the cba championship I asked him, if one day you play in the nba and right before the playoff starts ye li asked you to come back, if you come back you will lose the chance for a nba championship but if you stay you will lose ye li, what's your choice? yao answered without a blink of eye: " come back."
If that quote is true, that's an unfair question to ask. First, it's hypothetical. Second, there's no way she would ever give an ultimatum like that.
Of course he would pick her. I'm not saying that would be wrong either. I also missed the date. It was before he even played his first nba game, which would make the decision a lot easier.
Why did Yao have to open the locker room door when the quarrel between Steve and Smith was going on? To provide some porve to journalists outside?
I just checked that board for the first time ever. And I thought that this board was full of YOFs. So someone is attempting to translate the entire book. Wow. I hope that guy gets paid for it.
Nope, you aren't alone...I was amazed at the insights and everything that was stated...If true, I have more respect for Steve, and feel the same as you about it...
