I feel for you. I was in the Air Force and they told us to respect the office even if you don't respect the man. I think when it comes to this president, I respect the office too much to want him to be in it. Our core values were Integrity first, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All we Do. Trump embodies none of that.
Trump's followers don't watch the whole thing. They rely on the usual media providers (Fox, OANN, Breitbart, conservative Twitterers) to supply them with couple of cobbled-together excerpts where Trump hits the usual conservative talking points (media, China, liberals bad mostly). They don't see all the off-topic and narcissistic grandstanding or the completely batshit insane comments that make no sense in any context. I liken it to someone hearing a few seconds of a guitar solo that's mostly euphonious and declaring that the player is a good musician. However, that few seconds was more an accident than anything else - the rest of the solo is an out-of-key, musical disaster.
I didn't like either candidate at the time, and honestly felt they were each a little shady. I am not a hard core affiliate of either party. That being said, I won't make the same mistake twice. In November I will vote for Biden. I just wish the party had more to offer as a candidate, but no way in hell can I vote for a man like Trump again.

Have you lost your absurd, ridiculous ****ing mind? No one, no one is “fine” with this. What a bizarre thing to say. Now you’re trying to “define” the word “liberal,” as if that has anything to do with the Coronavirus, with COVID-19. Guess what. I don’t get it. People are sitting at home in mass because of a virus. Why would anyone be surprised that ratings would be high if while those people are sitting at home and watching the briefings to get information about said virus from the countries leadership. It makes no sense to even point it out. It just goes without saying. People that support this man really really need to look in the mirror. Just because you denounce this moron doesn’t mean you support a Democrat. It means you expect just a little bit more from a leader of hundreds of millions of people.
