America has no federal response to this crisis
Trump is playing president on television instead of doing the job.

Blame all this on Trump all you want .... but the facts reflect something else.

Just the past two days in NY alone there have been 18,962 NEW cases of Covid-19.

The state has been under a stay at home order since 23 March and have been urged to practice social distancing since 10 March.

Yet .... 18,962 new cases in the past two days.

Those people only have themselves to blame.

Stay home , stay away from people ..... don't catch this ****.

The stay at home and social distancing only dampens the spread and does not stop it. There are lots of people that are infected and moving about that you can only try to flatten the curve. BTW testing lags the spread of the virus and is not necessarily an accurate indicator of the infection rate.

What the fact reflects is that Trump and his admistration have failed to do what is necessary to minimise the outbreak and most actions they take are delayed until they are no longer effective. Permissive testing that would help track and mitigate the spread is still not available, PPE and medical equipment are scarce, and nationwide regulation to dampen the curve are still not in place. Instead, we are told to look forward to 200k deaths and credit him for a job well done

Remember his inaugural address or his acceptance speech?

Actually I don't, cause no ****ing way I would watch that ****.

But I do remember 2 lines

"This American carnage stops now" and "Only I can fix this"

Fast forward four years and it's changed to "if only 200,000 die I've done a really good job" and "I don't take any responsibility at all'

    Good stuff.

    You just proved my point.

Its those people who are out and about that are the problem. If they would stay home , they wouldn't catch it and they wouldn't spread it. The virus doesn't jump thru walls .... or come in thru the toilet. People who are catching it now just aren't following the guidelines.
If people were staying home and away from others , they wouldn't be getting infected. It is as simple as that.

These people who aren't following the guidelines and have recently gotten infected are why the hospitals and supplies are spread thin.

    Don't be a stupid person - Stay home , Don't catch Covid-19.

    Orange man bad.

So doctors and nurses should stay at home?
    law enforcement?
    grocery?
    post and delivery?
    farming?
    telecommunication?

Those people are exposed and go back to their homes and families

Also, do you think those test results are resulted in real time? do you know when the samples for those new cases were actually collected?

how about trump act timely and effectively to ramp up production of PPE or ventilators. Trump is not the sole blame for the covid situation, but it is not debatable that he has been a problem. As Juan Valdez recently put it, Trump has a negative WAR in his handling of this thing.

Not to mention that a lot of these essential workers, especially from poorer areas, have to rely on public transport to get around. Then they get off from the subway to their crowded apartments, in which they share a bedroom with their grandmother.

It took 3 weeks of complete lockdown in Wuhan before new cases peak. I would not expect peak for a much softer version in less time. If you don’t trust China data (too rosy), then it would take even longer.

How serious people are at listening to government is, I’m quite sure, also a fx of their perception of the seriousness of this virus. All the downplaying of it weeks ago is a big part in creating this problem among the people (some are still gathering in large group in NY and elsewhere).

Maybe it would have helped NY if Trump didn't tell them that this would magically disappear and if he had actually worked on getting testing done in Jan vs Mar.

By the way, where are the tests??? It's been a freaking month and you still can't go get a test unless you are pretty sick or rich.
