Figured I'd start a thread for fellow healthcare providers to post stories, anxieties, craziness, or whatever to relieve stresses. Sometimes it helps to talk.

I'm by no means on the front lines, but my wife and I both work with immunocompromised patients, and we both stress a little about the what ifs. Our son was tested a week and a half ago, and we still feel he may have been positive. We followed all the protocols to a tee, but we just don't know. His counts were consistent with patients. All the symptoms were there. Both of us had what could have been mild symptoms or a cold. Etc. Now six or seven people we work with collectively have small complaints.

It just sucks. You worry about how you may affect those you take care of, but you don't worry about yourselves.

Anyways, thanks for what you guys are doing. I'd love to hear some (HIPAA-free, of course) stories, or ways to cope.
