He would be good for rebounding, but so is Griffin, the difference is attitue which could be both a good thing and a bad thing for Okley and the rockets

Thanks for clearing that up! I was wondering if he arrived after the playoff roster deadline.

He did arrive after the deadline. But, the deadline doesn't apply to him. There is a March 1st deadline for players to be cut from a team. Players cut after that date cannot play in the playoffs for another team. Players cut before then (as Oakley was -- by a whole lot), can play in the playoffs, no matter when they are signed. So, unfortunately, Oakley would be available for the playoffs if we keep him around.

I wonder if he can play for any other team in the playoffs now if we let his 10-day expire? Is that the same as getting cut?

Depending on the player he would replace, I think Oakley would be a nice addition to the playoff roster. He has a little bit of playoff experience ( :) ), and that could come in handy.

I think we have to keep him on for insurance. Padgett would be the odd guy out now that Boki helped himself.
