As a rox fan, I'm showing my tremendous respect and admiration to the humanitarian thing MDA did.
Its a lot of money to a coach.

Edit: guess he is the first one in this organization do something (donation) for those who are suffering. it's better than taunts n finger pointing during this hard time.

Even greater sacrifice considering Tilman won't get him an extension.

He's probably coached his final game of his career.

Wow. And it's not like he has 500M career earnings like LeBron or whatever. That's not a small chunk of change.

    Good for him.

This feels like something a mustachioed gentleman would do.

The coach steps up to the plate. Well done. Lot of respect to Mr. D' Antoni.

That’s big money for an NBA coach. MDA is stepping up.

    No they don’t

I can separate him as a great human vs.
a coach who doesn’t call time outs or call new plays when he has a lead in the playoffs
Or has a short rotation where he runs his starters to the ground

    You earn a championship

nobody owes crap to anyone . He’s been out coached and he’s not been to the finals

but as a person he’s great.

Im not a big fan of Tilman, but I dont expect him to step up. Tilman has 4 billion in assets, not cash. And its all invested in the service based economy. The guy is and has been in trouble financially.

All of DAntoni's money is in his pocket. 100k donation is very nice and generous. But the guy has a pretty good chuck of money himself.

His wife made him shave it off. I read that somewhere. Mike should grow it back during the prolonged “hiatus.” I’m letting my gray beard grow out. I usually keep it trimmed short. Why not? As long as my own significant other doesn’t mind. What else is there to do? Not a hell of a lot. At least we are self-isolated in a house with a yard, getting stuff delivered. I can’t wrap my head around being stuck in an apartment. I would probably go nuts. My hat is off my bald head to those of you who live in the complexes. It’s the smart thing to do, in my opinion, but god, this is difficult!

MDA has always been a standup guy despite what that loser Melo says. He's just a stubborn coach who ignores defense and rotations. But he's a great guy, would love to buy him a beer or two.
