Yes it is completely false. It is a genetically different virus. It affects the lower respiratory system while influenza the upper. It has more contagiousness and more mortality. Might as well start calling every respiratory virus the flu This is not the hill you want to die on, move on. It is false, unscientific, misinformed and dangerous.
True. I guess shutting down passenger trains and domestic non-cargo flights to and from Texas would be a great start. Not allowing passenger buses in or out of state, and shutting down the cruises from Galveston would make a huge difference though. The exception obviously would be patients in dire need of medical help, such as cancer victims, etc.,who need the best care they can get.

How many tests they did today? 1008? At least the false sense of security some idiots have is about to get shattered now that tests are actually done. What's the total death toll in america? Whats the number in ICU? That's the numbers that matters now to calucalte the spread.

You didn't win any battle by instituting a travel ban on China when China was already on lockdown. The virus got here. It's spreading here from people already here, and we have to deal with it now as a pandemic & hope for an act of God.
We need to be at war with bats. They're the perfect hosts for viruses that can kill us. The only mammal with powered flight. Little winged demons. We can find something else to kill the mosquitos. More of those bug zappers or whatever.

The hoarders are really beginning to annoy me. Just shop as usual people. All I wanted was a bag of flour to make a cake and HEB was completely out. I couldn't even get a pack of napkins because the shelf was empty. That's as ridiculous as all the people buying up packs of water. OMG, if it got to that point just boil it! Do people think water is carrying the virus or what? SMH
People claim to hate the taste of tap water so I guess nobody wants to get to the point of having to drink tap water. I personally don't care, but just trying to see their logic even though I agree that the mass buying has to stop.
Just when I thought Montgomery County was cool...holding out by allowing restaurants and bars to stay open as long as they had less than 50 people total. That lasted all of 1 day. As of tomorrow, they're closed except for take-out and delivery.
In times like this people are scared. They feel like they have no control over any of this. Thus hoarding gives them a sense of control over all of this.
