Everyone knows the NBA's sales pitch this year. "There are a thousand reasons to love this game...what are yours?" Just thought I'd ask since everybody is in a good mood with the victory against the Blazers. I'll start if off. I love this game because the Power Dancers are hot...he he he. (Man, did you see the halftime show?)
...because Rockets basketball is a good stress reliever for people suffering from hypertension, heart disease, and manic depression...
...because of bball BBS posters, who suggest lopsided trade proposals even after the trading deadline and think that every great player from the 80's will come out of retirement to join a 7th seed team just to "win a ring" !
I love this game because.. - of all the sweaty hot guys - it's exciting! - gives me something to look forward to - all the rivalries
My question is this: are they really gonna follow through and do 1000 reasons? because there are 5 reasons / commercial, that would make them need to make 200 commericials. as much as I love those commericials... are there 1000 celebrities they can use? i mean they are already on to the muppets and dennis franz.
i love this game because i dont know how to unlove the game. you get hooked, really hooked, and then you just cant let go. even when your team runs the worst offense, you cant look away.
you know what? my love of the NBA has increased since joining this board. now when the Rockets are stinking it up, i have a place to vent! and when they're doing well, it's cool because then i have a place where other people think the Rockets players are superstars too.
I love this game because of watching Steve Francis on the court. BTW my favorite one from the commercials is Will Faroe's(?spelling?) ".....because I get to where a helmet"
