He’s been in the rotation before. Maybe coach will go 8 deep? Sad as all our players are interchangeable. He should have 8-10 man rotations not a 6-7 deep game plan.

Well, we have a basically Ariza "upgraded" with ROCO...now if we can get Moute close to how he played back in the day then the Rox would be another level of SCARY

It should be Tyson, Clemons or Harty instead of DMC.

Tyson is too valuable as a locker room presence. It's very telling that he gives the post-game speeches in the locker room. I think out of the three, Clemons is the most expendable.

I think Clemons will get it. Tyson and Harry have to remain because their size will be needed at some point when the analytics change for the playoffs

Rockets need both type of players - long athletic above rim as well as thick linebacker types.

If Luc is healthy he would be perfect roster addition at 6'8 230 with 7'0 wingspan. Not only switch defender extraordinaire but 3ball threat and can put ball on floor and get to rim.

Another similar option is 6'9 Jonah Bolden (7'3 wingspan) who is also disruptor on defense as well as 3ball threat, good passer and can create for himself. Better rim protector and rebounder.

Adding another linebacker that also has ability to play above the rim is just as critical. 6'6 230 Justin Anderson is a dog on defense - on ball or off ball, high defensive IQ plus loves to run on both ends of the court. His 43" vert combined with 7'0 wingspan makes him a dangerous lob threat and shot blocker.

Much improved 3ball, currently shooting 38% from 3 in GLeague.

    Future what, towel waver?

Harty is no longer a fit in our system, offensively or defensively.

If Rockets keep an unplayable player then Tyson is my pick too.

But would rather just make him an assistant so he can make all the speeches he wants and free up a roster spot for a younger guy who is actually playable.

He can still be used, especially if Westbrook goes out with an injury next year.

All depends on what moves we make though.

You'll need to play a more basic style of bball.

Tyson is 37 years old.......DeMarre is like 33.

Clemons is too short but a good sport.

I do not agree, and it appears that neither does Morey or MDA.

When Clint went down, Harty still did not get any minutes.

And Harty does not see any playtime when Russ sits on B2Bs.

Harty is a traditional 5 and is an extremely poor fit in new 5 Out offense and is horrendous fit for switch everything defense.

If Rockets truly want a 7 footer then swap Harty for Bender. Both same age (22), same height 7'0, same wingspan (7'2) but Bender plays more like a guard so much more advanced ball handler, passer and 3ball.

Bender is also a semi-decent switch defender, has much quicker and lighter feet than Harty.

But would rather invest in young players that will be maximized in Rockets new offensive and defensive systems.

Younger still untapped players like 6'9 Jonah Bolden, 6'6 Justin Anderson, 6'3 Tyler Johnson and even 6'7 Ryan Broekhoff.

In off season our targets should be 6'8 Jerami Grant, 6'5 Kelly Oubre, 6'8 Josh Jackson, 6'8 Moe Harkless, 6'9 Aaron Gordon and/or even 6'8 Bismack Biyombo (if Rockets really want to stash a true 5 to play 5-10 minutes a game - Biyombo can be dunker or roller on offense with Harden and should be excellent switch defender).

    Well, easy, low hanging fruit.

Bender isn't available right now. Hartenstein is on the team.

Have to look, I am pretty sure Hartenstein had games with double doubles.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/4222252/isaiah-hartenstein

I am not sure Dragan had any impact in the rebounding department despite playing more frequently.

Bender was not re-signed by GSW for 2nd 10 day yet, so he is available.

Again, Bender is not my first choice because while he is a former 4th round pick overall and more talented BUT more importantly a better fit than Hartenstein - Bender is not the BEST FIT.

Do not get too attached to Harty, he is not the future for the Rockets.

Well, all I am saying is Harty plays a lot less than Capela when he first came along and he could produce good numbers....against a team like Denver.

That at least tells you he belongs.

IIRC MDA is the lame duck here, I know he doesn't like young players but he is also an almost 70 year old senior guy who is stubborn.

I would not be surprised if they drop him somehow but I am not really happy about this.

Well, irony is that Covington was also a nice player on the rise before they got rid of him too early.
