Elizabeth Warren is ending her campaign.

Tulsi Gabbard is the last woman standing.

I appreciate her finally dropping out. What a disappointment...

I wonder if Sanders and Warren have a deal worked out.

Endorsing Biden would essentially end this immediately and kneecap Bernie.
Endorsing Bernie likely drags this out a lot longer.
Staying out of it probably means this thing is over after March 17th or 24th.

I imagine she's going to stay out - no need to alienate Biden at this point since he's likely the nominee. But she's friends with Bernie and would trash her progressive credentials by endorsing Biden.

If she endorses Biden the vitriol on twitter will be horrible.

she was already trashed on Super Tuesday and blamed for Bernies loss

Even a strong ground game, team and network can be absolutely crippled to the point of no return by poor messaging.

That said, I feel for her and her supporters. The rise and fall can’t be easy to process.

I'm sure of it. Seeing how she did in her home state she'll probably take her chances as the VP. I hope she does anyway. She's more charismatic than Sanders.

Biden should offer her Sec of Treasury and should announce it before the convention to help get progressives excited.

I don't know if she dropping out will help Bernie. That bridge was burning quite hot. She also have a sizable support from those with college degree, who likely will go to Biden.

Poco's weird attack on Bernie literally killed her campaign -- remember how cocky she got when she had that little surge... all the selfies she had to wait hours to take with her fans.

    Groan.

She is going to hold her cards.

No sense endorsing a losing horse like Bernie and her voters are not natural fits for Bernie/have already rejected him despite the snake emoji fever dreams of the Berniebros.

If you look at the exit polling by education with Warren it's low with high school or some college much higher with college, and super high with advanced degree.

That is not a Sanders crowd.

I remember all those tweets from President Obama crowing about republican primary candidates dropping from the primary race.

She's done more to protect the American consumer than 80% of the candidates. We need her work in this country. I'm sorry America still isn't ready for a female President.

Seems like she had momentum until Buttigieg said in the debate - “A yes-or-no question that didn’t get a yes-or-no answer. Look, this is why people here in the Midwest are so frustrated with Washington in general and Capitol Hill in particular. Your signature, senator, is to have a plan for everything — except this.”

Then she came out with her plan and no one liked it.

For someone who has been preparing for a presidential run for seemingly forever she had a lot of bad responses/ reactions to easy questions and attacks.

Here's a good article on explanations for why she didn't keep rising

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/03/warren-2020/607327/

    1) too in-between in a lane-splitting, crowded field
    2) peaked too early, became a target
3-4) the "electabilty" trap/tactical Biden support in the face of Trump angst
    5) Generally sexist/double standard coverage (Liz gets bogged down in policy weeds of M4All, Bernie skates by with a shrug emoji, Biden doesn't even have to have a plan)

I think they're all fairly valid.

I honestly think that even though Bernie had a better path to get to 30% (and make no mistake, that was explicitly his whole plan..?) Warren had a better chance to get to 50%
