I liked your post, but wanted to say despite his many flaws, Biden would still be better than Trump by a factor of 100.
He's not gonna rally young people and minority voters.... Thought Bernie could do that, but definitely not Biden.
I can not believe that CA people voted Sanders over Biden. They just want to have Trump for four more years or to send Sanders to hospital for heart problem again without getting your free education, free medicine, free meals etc.
My hope is no matter WHO wins.... They get with all the candidates and and embrace some of their policies that has attracted their supporters.... I know I may be living in a dream world... But I agree doing the same ole will not work T_Man
Dude WTF has Bernie done that these black leaders have not? How can anybody take you seriously when you are comparing people who put there lives on the line every day and changed the course of history to a guy who participated in a march in the north and had to pay a 25 dollar fine. As for the bold how is what Bernie did any different?
This rings very hollow seeing how before Super Tues Biden was almost broke and had several states he did not have adds or a ground game. Bernie is the one who has the money. That tells me a lot about him.
[Premium Post] If I'm Bernie, I'm definitely staying in this thing until the convention. Biden could self-eliminate literally at any moment. Whether it's health related, gaffe related, or if information comes to light surrounding his corrupt past. He's a seriously flawed candidate. GOOD DAY
He rallied all of them last night. You would not know because you have not looked at the demographic breakdowns. After helping Sanders secure Nevada two weeks ago, Sanders won about half of Latinos in California, according to exit polls, securing a big win and a ton of delegates as other states tilted Biden’s way. In Texas, where Biden narrowly won, Latinos went for Sanders 39 percent to 26 percent for Biden. North Carolina was the only state where Biden ran ahead of Sanders among Latinos, according to the exit poll, though that result was within the margin of error. Among black voters But Biden neared or exceeded that mark in the South on Tuesday, in Texas (58 percent), Virginia (60 percent), North Carolina (62 percent) and Alabama (72 percent). The results in Texas and North Carolina were especially notable given the prevalence of early voting in those states, where hundreds of thousands of ballots were cast before Biden’s South Carolina surge. Biden still won a plurality of the black vote in California, 33 percent, though it was not the dominant showing he turned in elsewhere. So he won a plurality of all minorities. He won a 3rd of the youth vote so he did better with youth than Sanders did with minorities.
Thats not it chief, so because he got a lot of the black vote means, that suddenly minorities rallied around him, thats ridiculous. Their not rallying around this dude, they are rallying around name attachment to Obama and hatred of Trump. Biden doesnt energize the youth at all or minorities at all He energized the older black people that vote. Latino voters going to Sanders was no surprise. Theres also ALOT of voter suppression in Texas. So those numbers are most likely skewed even more towards Bernie. Also this last sentence doesnt mean anything when it was clear the Black vote carried him among minority groups and we both know why that is.
For all the talk about Bernie rallying the youth vote, they sure don't turn out for him. Yet Biden blows up turnout in North Carolina, Virginia, etc. and crushes it with black voters and it's dismissed as meaningless.
Yup, young voters talk a lot but dont show up. I never thought the black vote was meaningless, I just didnt know they liked Biden that much.
Even if he picked Haley for VP (i'm thirsty for women in the white house) I wouldn't consider it all. Haley, a woman, actually hates women.
It's bizarre watching Bernie rail against the "political establishment" and also try and use it and navigate within it at the same time.
Didn't he get berated for saying no to hypothetically accepting Bloomberg's money if he won the primaries? I mean let's be real here. Telling someone to create a movement that can reach the Whitehouse without using the two monopolies in our politics (RNC, DNC) is like telling someone who doesn't like Google's privacy issues and their access to so much data of Americans to start their own search engine to compete with Google.
I'm not saying Bernie should try and 3rd party it but I think the whole dynamic surrounding Bernie and the DNC is bizarre/toxic/problematic.
The progressive movement is not going to die or roll over if Biden is the nominee and even if he wins against Trump. She's saying exactly what someone would say if they lost an election, let's do better next election.
