Are sneakers part of the uniform? The rest of the Rockets are all wearing black sneakers, but Oakley is wearing some ugly silver-lined ones.

yep. definitely a statement from them.

i like jvg's statement better... putting oakley in there. that foul he gave immediately upon entering the game wasn't a soft one. hopefully he'll keep it up.

it's off to a good start, but it'll have to keep it up all 4 quarters to top last night.

did bill or calvin mention anything about yao getting fouled on that one dunk (or all 3). are they saying anything about the officiating.

i'm getting the blazers feed where they keep complaining that the official scorer didn't get ratliff a block. nevermind he hacked yao, they want their block.

right on. Two things JVG needs to do to improve this team:

1. Have a better offensive set to beat a zone-defense team. He is doing better now. The Mavericks win proves that.
2. Handle referees better, right now, JVG might not think it is the time to do it yet. Hopefully he will start to gradually push it once Yao and SF grow up.

the only good thing about signing oakley is that he's gonna payback some of these punk-ass blazers. maybe he could layout a ref before we take him out.

i officially want to cry after that foul just called on spoon with patterson trying to bowl him over the entire time.

and get jackson out of there yesterday before damon scores about 50.

I don't know when JVG will complain about the officiating. Our getting 1/3 FT of what opponents do says something. It is not like we do attack the inside. We do, but opponents get hack-as-you-like green light from refs.

The only choking here is the refs choking the Rockets out of their lead.

no what sucks is this frustrating officiating... the disparity of free throw attempts is pathetic, and its not even because we arent driving the lane. Someone needs to have an outburst and NOT apologize about it.

If I were the management, I would step up and say "the refs played their 6th, 7th, and 8th men tonight. They were blind. They should be fired. And they are not welcome to officiate any of Rox games from now on."
