ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Knicks 3/2/2020

Games a wash.
On to the next one.

We can believe what we want about our match ups against the LA teams, but we’re definitely the team from those three to have most trouble in the first round versus a lesser opponent.

 

Zero offensive rebounds.
Zero effort and energy.

We've seen this game from this team 10-15 times this season, and usually it's to a very low quality opponent.

I really want to believe that they can pull this off, but we had such a disheartening January that it feels more like we're just wasting our time. Hardens body language is horrible btw, and WB is out-of-control. Ugh.

 

Give Knicks credit they daring our outside guys to make shots....and they not. They taking paint away from Westbrook and Harden. This will be strategy in playoffs. Rox gotta get more consistent at outside shooting.

 

Harden runs his mouth and then proceeds to play like utter garbage two games in row.

Smh.

 

Not liking this game. Rockets are hungover from the Celtics victory.

Are we missing open shots or Knicks playing good defense?

Knicks are keeping bigs on the floor too -- beaucoup rebound advantage.

 

Remember when CF was pissed that we relied on 3s too much after G7 vs the Warriors?

It's going to happen again this year in the playoffs. We're gonna go cold and lose an elimination game.

We had a backup plan back then, to start taking mid-rangers and lock up on defense but we didn't go to it and kept jacking up 3s.

Now we have no backup plan at all so if it happens, then we'll lose 100% of the time.

 

Gin. Up. Need the numb.

 

Can never take a D'Antoni team too seriously.

 

Harden has to play better. If you can't hit a three, do something else. He shouldn't have to go 0-10 to figure it out.

 

Games like this Gerald green would go 3/5 from 3 in 8 minutes

I think we've only had like 3 stops since 3rd minute of the game.

Defense and offense has been truly awful tonight. These are typically the type of games we normally struggle with.

 

Getting good looks. It might just be one of those nights shooting wise.

 

Harden to me is too accepting of letting the double team be a cop out for him to play so inefficient. This is where I wish he had mamba mentality.

 

McLemore is awful on defense
