Harden on Giannis: “I wish I could just run and just dunk. That takes no skill at all.”

Giannis has some skill, it's just limited.

Yes obviously compared to someone like Harden.

I guess a part of fandom is embracing excessive hyperbole.

    THIS. So much

Media pushing narratives and the blind sheep who believe everything they hear. There's no reasoning with fools once their mind is made up regardless of all the evidence that goes against their stupid agenda. They need to be slapped.

Harden had three costly mistakes late the fourth quarter besides going scoreless.

    1. He reached on Smart and Smart drove right past him less than 3 minutes left.
    2. The bad Bounce pass stolen by Gordon Hayward taken down for a bucket less than a minute.
    3. The missed rebound that slipped through Harden hand off of the Tatum free throw miss at the end of regulation. Ball bounced off Harden and into hands of Jaylen Brown for that three!

This is a big issue with Harden. He is very predictable.

So entire NBA must be braindead for double and triple teaming a guy with only 3 moves at half court.

    You are a genius.

Well he kinda makes it easy to double. When you are a significant portion of a team's offense AND you just stand around a lot and make it easy for defenders to double you, you're going to get doubled a lot.

Harden essentially turned "Gainnis has no skill" into a ironic meme that people make fun of now whenever Gainnis does this:

It's bad for Harden because now whenever Gainnis makes a skillful play Harden is going to brought up and people are going to make fun of him and his bad take.

Harden has changed his game almost every year, please help me understand how he has three moves.

Offensive moves that Harden’s displayed since being on the Rockets that have generally been positives for the team:

Cut to the basket from the corner for dunk
    Crossover step back midrange jumpshot
Driving left or right against contact
    Euro step
    Floater
    Step back 3
    Mid range post up
Drive bringing the defense toward you, alley oop
    Pick and roll bounce pass
Pick and roll wrap around pass
Drawing a foul either as a jumpshot or a drive
Behind the back pass when doubled at the top of the key to find an open 3

Literally the offensive minded move that he’s tried that negatively affected the team were those long full court football throws that he stop doing.

40-20-5 in 35 minutes. While Harden passes to Gordon Hayward almost costing the rockets the game yesterday.

    Um.
Harden "makes it easy", compared to whom?
Who are the stars out there that face double teams but make it hard for them to be double-teamed?
"You're going to get doubled a lot" when you are possibly the greatest force on offense in the history of basketball.

Chowd spewing regurgitated curry again, LOL.

For someone so easily doubled, he is leading NBA in scoring for 3rd straight season.

Your Harden is fat lazy stationary player narrative is a lie and you know it - you have been called out on it and data has been provided to refute your fake takes.

That is why you have a rep as a fraud and a hater. You vomit unsubstantiated slander constantly.

Not sure why this is worth arguing when there's data.

Giannis has 158 dunks on the season... 3rd in the NBA (Gobert, Mitchell Robinson). He's made 580 shots. So a quarter of his shots made are dunks (27%). But he's made 381 shots at the rim, so dunks and near-dunks. At rim is basically within 3 feet. I'm not sure how bball ref. measures it exactly. If Giannis takes off from the free throw line, it's at the rim (which... I guess is his "skill"). In any case, that's 67% of his made shots are either dunks or near-dunks. His next biggest category are threes - 79 shots made, but at a 31.7% fg%. Credit him for at least getting it good enough to take. Cause you know given his dunk/near-dunk %, he's getting tons of space there.

Last year a full 643 of his 850 made shots were dunks/near-dunks, playoffs and regular season combined, for 76%.

So it's not fair to say he has not "skill" beyond being super tall and super athletic while being super tall... which as far as JH is using the word skill, I'd agree isn't actually skill, it's just athleticism. He has a tad bit of skill, and has worked to gain that. Seemingly, given his athelticism, it's all the skill he needs. Though I guess we'll see in the playoffs.

Certainly if you took Harden's skill-set and put it on a dude 4-6 inches taller, that'd be an even better player. But the same can be said about Steph, or tons of all time dominant "shorter" players.

That’s why I said he should have never done that interview. He basically fed the trolls.
