39-29 Outbursts from Stevie Franchise aside, Yao's Rockets still look like a pretty dangerous No. 7 seed that will be playing someone good in the first round: Minny or San Antonio, most likely.

You know what that means...the Timberwolves finally get their first playoff series win and get out of the first round!

here is the latest SI powerrankings.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writers/marty_burns/03/22/power_rankings/index.html

    some interesting things :

    Houston Rockets (39-29)
Get ready, John Starks. With Charles Oakley joining Mark Jackson and (assistant coach) Patrick Ewing, coach Jeff Van Gundy has almost realized his diabolical plot to re-form the '91-92 Knicks.

    Orlando Magic (19-53)
Anybody for a high draft choice? They'll seriously consider dealing their lottery pick in June's draft in order to get some help for T-Mac. But with the Bulls thinking along the same lines, it could be a buyer's market.

I am salivating at the not too realistic pipedream of us somehow getting okafor even if it means at the cost of francis and taking on some bad contracts as well.

"diabolical plot to re-form the '91-92 Knicks".
    That's a great line!

Okafor teamed with Yao would be a force to be reckon with inside. How many points in the paint would be allowed?

The most interesting is HOW COME ROCKETS RANK ONE SPOT HIGHER (NO.*) THAN LAST WEEK (NO.9) WHEN THEY LOSE 3 STRAIGHT GAMES?

    WEIRD....

I think this needs to be converted to braille and sent to CD.
