They're only going to have a 72-10 record because they're in a much weaker conference. They're 18-4 vs Western Conference teams, but only 10 games have been against top 8 teams..... and they only have a 7-3 record vs those top 8 teams. In 6 of those wins, they only won by 7 points or less. Just saying, they wouldn't have it their own way in the Western Conference.

I feel bad for Harden. The amount of bullshit he has to put up with is unreal. He's not respected, despite being lead scorer in the league in the last 3 years. He's mostly top 10 in assists every year, yet people claim he's a ball hog. People claim he doesn't play any defense, yet he always gets a crap ton of steals, blocks and deflections.... not to mention, he's one of the best post defenders in the league. People talk about all the free throws he's getting, but they don't talk about all the other legends of the game who got a crap ton of free throws in their big scoring seasons. And the fact he didn't get the MVP award last year was a joke. Any other player in the league would have got it.

He's also right about the double teaming. I have never seen a player get double teamed at half court when he's barely scored any points or pretty much at the start of the game. He obviously does get frustrated by the double teaming, but he also knows it helps the team out when they do it.... so he's learning to deal with it. It also proves that he's by far the most unstoppable player in the league.

Even if he wins the NBA title this year, they still won't respect him. The casuals will still mention free throws, travelling, him flopping or that he only has one ring compared to the other legends. You literally can't win when you're James Harden.
