from e-blastoff The Houston Rockets have traded the 22nd pick in the 2001 NBA Draft to the Orlando Magic in exchange for the 23rd pick in this year's draft, Rockets General Manager Carroll Dawson announced today. In accordance with the guidelines in the trade agreement, the Magic will accept the 18th pick in the draft from the Phoenix Suns and convey it to Houston. Orlando owed the Rockets a first round draft pick as part of the three-team, 11-player deal between Houston, Vancouver and Orlando that brought Steve Francis to the Rockets on Aug. 27, 1999. The Magic will accept the 18th selection from the Suns who were conveyed the pick initially by the New York Knicks. The Rockets now have the 13th, 18th and 23rd selections in the 2001 NBA Draft, which will be held on June 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Houston does not have a second round selection in this year's draft. ------------------
Well atleast Rockets could have convinced the Magic to give it to us earlier so we can trade it to Vancouver. ------------------
Thats what im thinking. What so big deal moving down one spot? ------------------ If Bill Gates had a dime for every time Windows crashed... Oh, Wait!! He Does!
Well, I don't think the Magic will be picking Terrence Morris, will they? ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils.
Even if Houston and Orlando know they're not going to step on each other's toes... the team that's trading for the 15th and 22nd pick might not know that. ------------------ You're a fine woman, why don't you mock that draft up
