We don’t want him to clear wavers because his contract is exactly what we would want.

I hope Morey does not let this opportunity slip us by. Young athletic long skilled player on cheap contract.

Bigs that can switch defend, rim protect, dive and shoot 3ball are hard to come by.

He has been injured and their team depth is just like him.

Sign him now for rest of regular season.Team will need bodies for the wear and tear of the season.

If he doesn't deliver, then he doesn't make the playoff roster.

Defensive instincts - yes, and looks like he has a smooth shot, but he's 24 and hasn't had a big chance to develop so he would be a project rather than someone that moves the needle, and that Rockets already have iHart to fill that role.

Covington was released by the Rockets at one point.

Yeah and he was a project then, he wasnt the 3nD premier wing he is now. What I'm saying is you guys expect him to be good enough to make the rotation and if he is that good then he should be worth something instead of getting bought out.

If you are talking about him as a project which may contribute down the line then that is more reasonable a guy like that gets bought out but then developing a project isnt Rox's biggest priority right now.

I would sign him to stash away if he isn’t ready to contribute. He could turn out to be a good one or two years. Hell, he might be able to contribute some right now based on his defense alone. And if that picture is accurate he looks closer to 6’11” than his listed height of 6’9”.

76ers are not infallible. They have other bigs that fit their system better.

Bolden would be excellent for our system.

6'10 playmaker who can also fill Capela role but better switch defender AND CAN SHOOT 3BALL.

Yeah I can’t help but think this guy is a good fit for the Rockets, which is why Morey probably won’t sign him.

I'm not sure if a team with a lower record has tried to claim him.

Those are my thoughts, too. I don’t see how he would fall to us. He is on a nothing contract. A heavy protected SRP would have saved the 76’s money and got us our player of choice using one of the TLE. We wait.
