I went to Phila Miami playoff game, and didn’t like what I saw, especially Covington game , looked lame that day , totally disinterested. I saw he was good buddy with Embiid. That was it , never understood the hype about him , and of course was against CC trade, BUT last night I realized how wrong was I, so WELCOME BACK ,RoCo!

This dude is the REAL DEAL.

He can legit guard every position on the floor. Swiss army knife defender who can hit the open three. And to anyone comparing him to Ariza, Ariza didn't have the ball handling skills like RoCo does.

Agreed, this guy is miles better then Ariza

    -Tougher
    -More athletic
-Has way better dribbling and driving skills and can even create for himself better

Well.... only 1 game but this looks promising

    Harden/Russ/Tucker/Gordon/Covington
House/Rivers is a great core locked into this season and next.

My biggest take from watching RoCo yesterday is how calmed he looked. No matter how much of a veteran somebody might be, players can get nervous on his first game with a new team - like trying not to **** up. Covington drained his 3s, played great defense like he had been playing with this team for years.

He has obvioulsly developed his craft ever since being traded with Isaiah Cannon a few years back.

    Well done, Mr. Covington.

Honestly love this move but still doesn’t put us where we need to be. Love what he brings to the table offensively and defensively, of course.

I agree. Need more depth. Two open roster spots, three if we drop one of the centers.

So one loss erases all the wins? You really are a cretin.

We're also getting a player at his prime, unlike Ariza and with a lot of room for improvement.

You’re the one that called me out for a post I made on Wednesday (before Covington’s first game) when you know damn well I watched the game last night and gave RoCo props.

You’re the one that’s trying to create a rift and then calling me a cretin? K...

Excited about our potential with the additions of Carroll and Green, but don’t want the fact that the former newest guy, RoCo looked amazing in limited action on both sides of the ball. His defense was outstanding both on the ball and help and offensively he looked like he’d been here all year.

He is SO much damn better than Clint Capela.

They just aren’t remotely comparable, imo. Lord Covington is in a whole different universe. He makes PJ Tucker our 2nd best defender, which is insane.

Covington is a beast. Such a huge trade to lock Cov down with Harden and Russ these next few years.
