It is finally here! Came out today, got mine and have given it a turn or two. simply awsome! will take some getting used to though as its much harder to find the enemy now with all the jungle

I wonder how long people will use the radio every time they get in a vehicle as the games I've been in so far, every fool is driving round blaring WAR, WHAT IS IT GO FOR? lol

so who else made sure they got their copy ?

    Sorry...I'm all about UT2004.

It's being shipped to me now and I can't wait for it to get here.

UT2004 does not have normal maps....it signals the end of that technology.

BFV has normal maps...MUCH better looking, and more state of the art.

Epic is messing up big time with this release.

    IMHO.

Normal mapping is basically the newest form of skinning a model or character, tree, car, anything and make it look more real.

If you see edges, that is not a normal mapped piece of art.

Normal mapping can make a 1000 polygon character look like a 100,000 polygon character, and that is a HUGE difference in realistic look.

    Normal mapping is the shiznitz.

Isn't normal mapping somewhat new technology?

Regardless, I got UT2004, and it looks great. I'll have my Radeon 9800 Pro come in in a few days, and I'm sure it'll look even better. I'm having a lot of fun with UT2004.

Of course, BF:V is also a great game...which is why I bought both. :D And yes, it looks incredible too.

Is Battlefield Vietnam a stand-alone game or an expansion on Battlefield 1942?

I bought my copy on Saturday. When you can find a server where the ping is just right, the game runs great. When and where do you guys play? Somebody here, oh I don't know, somebody who maybe creates games for a living and might have a way to get his hands on a server should start a Clutch BBS only server:D
