If Oak was signed because Cato cannot play, then it makes a lot of sense. If Cato is put on IR list because Oak is signed, then I don't like it at all. Cato is a good defender, I don't know what Oak can do at this moment.
Do you really think JVG is stupid enough to place a starter on the IR for ficticious reasons JUST to sign someone like Oakley?? Especially when Spoon and Mo are nursing injuries??? Pretty silly thinking on your part.
Ya never know. Who knows what can happen behind the scenes? I find it strange that IF Cato was injured in the Phoenix game, that the info is just now coming out. It's true that Cato didn't play the last part of the game. Maybe it was a practice injury? Or maybe it wasnt' thought of being an issue earlier.
Oh I know. A move like that would be unprecedented. JVG is not going to cut his nose off to spite his face. The info didn't just come out. The announcers on TNT mentioned that Cato wasn't playing because he had hurt himself in the game.
This is bad news. We need Cato, especially in the playoffs. Hopefully Kelvin's injury isn't too serious and he'll get back soon. I think that we have to start Spoon now. We need Mo to come off the bench with the second unit and be the low post guy. I sure hope that we don't start Charles Oakley right away.
SInce we no longer have a backup center, Yaos minutes are probably going to go up. Lets see how he does with increased minutes.
obviously, if we were going to put anyone on the IR for Oak, it would have been Pike, Boki or spoon. Believe it or not, and i know this doesnt happen much, a starter is being put on the IL because he is actually injured.
