Baynes would be great. He was incredible in the Suns' early run and playing with Harden and Westbrook can push him back to that. Wood and Nance would be decent too. Last year the Bucks got Mirotic with 2 2nds. We have 2 2nds right now.

Wonder what we would need to give up for Baynes & Saric

    Baynes Chandler/Bell
    Tucker Saric
    Covington House
    Harden Gordon
    Westbrook Rivers

That's what I'd like to run through the playoffs with.

Nance is a high energy guy that may work with R and H and could give PJ some rest.

he signed an extension on August 30th which prevents him from being traded for 6 months due to CBA rules...that 6 months goes past the date of the trade deadline

Olynyk is basically the perfect D’Antoni center at the money we’re looking at. Problem is, he’s on Miami and our relationship with Riley isn’t good.

    Would love to have him.

Edit to add: If Miami is determined to duck the luxury cap this season, Rockets May be able to pry him away.

With all these fantasy trade scenarios people need to realize the Rockets literally have zero tradeable assets. Cap space alone has such little value. Maybe a couple second rounders but do we really want to not be able to even participate in the draft in the next decade??

It’s insane that the Rockets just simply don’t believe in the NBA draft at all anymore. I think that’s extreme arrogance on their part and it pisses me off.

Move that GS 2nd Rounder and one of our own 2nd to Sacramento for Holmes. That not only gives us a 6’10” center but also keeps us under the luxury tax.

My understanding is that the Pistons love Wood, and aren't moving him for anything reasonable. I'd like Nance, but it's probably too much money for ownership. So, Baynes, maybe Looney, others off the scratch & dent section.

    Pfft on Igoudala.

They can't stand pat right now, Dobro. They need another big. I'm surprised Tucker's held up this long. Shades of Boxer from "Animal Farm," and he'll end his Rockets career in a (metaphorically) similar way.

So what big can they get for 6-8 ish million and some 2nd round picks? Holmes would work, credit to @steddinotayto . Or Baynes. Or someone else. NYK should still have an excess of bigs. They're in flux. See if they're still incompetent at evaluating talent and value.
