Is Mike really a goner in the summer unless they get to the finals or something? Why even bother keeping him for another year of this small championship window if you want him to leave in the summer anyway. Lue was available this year. Do you think Morey’s days are also numbered or will his relationship with Tilman last long term?
He's basically turning the Nuggets into the best team in the league with that trade. We may as well tank and give up Westbrook whilst we're at it.
No doubt about that, but our assets are weak and we have no cap room. Kenneth Faried doesn’t count as one, since he can’t play defense.
Because D’Antoni might surprise us and actually win with this super small-ball tactics of his when Guard focused. I hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt it
Thanks again for posting the info. Really appreciate you taking to time to post when you get free moments. Not surprised at Markieff and not surprised about Ty Lue. Rockets had interest in Lue before this season I think. What have you heard on Capela and interest on him?
https://tradenba.com/trades/Ygd4U8Blp Goals were simple. Trade without losing PJ (Harden's boy) Make it worth it for each other team. Hawks get Capela for a 1st. Wolves get that 1st+, in that they get a 1st and 2nd. Pistons get the 1st+ they wanted for Kennard. So we get Covington and Morris, which I think from the rumors are two of our coveted pieces. I also saw Morey inquired about Kennard but the PIstons were high on him. Downsides: We lose all picks for 2020. Morey generally has tabs on decent late 1st/2nd round picks. I don't know how to value pieces like Parker, Hunter, Len, Frazier. Are they just bodies? They were just salary filler to me, don't know if they have any special extra value needed. Learned that Capela salary matches RoCo+Kief, but Capela likely needs to go to a 4th team to make it work and the more teams you add to a trade the less likely it happens.
2 trades (money works for all)... Part 1 Rockets get: John Collins, Daniel Theis, Alex Len, Celtics pick Hawks get: Kevin Love, Semi Ojeleye Celtics get: Clint Capela Cavs get: Evan Turner, Enes Kanter, Nene, Hawks pick, Celtics pick Part 2 Rockets get: Markieff Morris Pistons get: Tyson Chandler, Thabo Sefolosha, Celtics pick (via Houston) New Rockets (with minutes) PG - Russ(33), Harden (15) SG - Harden(18), Mac(15), Rivers(15) SF - Gordon(30), House(15), Tucker(3) PF - Tucker(25), Markieff Morris(23) C - John Collins(30), Daniel Theis(18)
Damn you just got the Hawks trading a younger and better player in Collins and a pick for a washed Kevin Love lol.
I've got the perfect Capela trade! Just need to hope that John Hammond has lost his damn mind! I love that Hollinger's formula says Orlando gets better after receiving a pile of trash for one of their best players. Great job John!
Nice trade. Too bad everybody dont get whats they want lol. Welcome to the world. Piston would answer the phone and be like wtf? Morris for Parker. Clank! lol
I think Hammond likes this one better. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=wy8rd6n PG: Russ, Rivers SG: Harden, Ego, Okogie SF: RoCo, McLemore, Iwundu PF: AG, Thabo C: Timelord, Harty Trade SRP for 6'9 Bruno Caboclo or 6'10 Jonah Bolden to back up 4/5. Both can defend perimeter and have wingspans 7'4 or greater. Both play above the rim. Both under 25. Or sign 6'8 Jeff Green (33).
I would be totally fine with this trade except that the rumor is the Wolves want two first rounders for Covington. So I doubt they take a first and a second. Also I’m not so sure the Hawks want to move Hunter.
My prediction for the deadline http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=syf3okj Ok maybe minus Sefolosha or Chandler......one or the other
