    smart is the heart and soul of the team according to many. i just dont see it especially sending him to rot in minnesota.

    Hoping for Myles Turner & John Collins but don't think we have the assets to pull it off... plus not sure if MDA would even play these bigs.

    It is significantly more likely that Capela is traded for a pick to save money than it is to trade Capela for a difference maker. They’re just getting the lip service out there that they’re trying to upgrade the team.

    Still think best option if we’re allowed to go into lux tax is 3way with Min and Bos

    rox get: RoCo Smart Theis/kanter

    min get: house Thabo hart 2 rox frp 1 bos pick all the seconds

    bos get: capela

    we deplete our assets but pick up 2 of the most elite 3 and d guys tailor made for switching and a placeholder big. We then have the option of offloading ego in the off-season for turner or any young big. Team has access to mle to fill any holes.

    Wb/rivers/Clemons
    Harden/ego
    Smart/mclemore
    RoCo/Tucker
    Theis/Tyson/kieff

    could then in the off-season go

    Still wish we could have traded him to the Celtics during the draft and taken Brandon Clarke, like we were rumored to be doing, until we were leapfrogged by someone (Memphis I assume).

    Capaela remind me of von wafer.

    Sucks at the worst time!

    Would be nice if rockets could get Christian wood and Derrick Rose from pistons

    All in on small ball and then we get absolutely murdered on the boards in the playoffs.

    Clint is a significant asset. Young double double machine who is still improving on defense. I know the board has turned on him but if he is moved and had better be for an impact player.

    I can only imagine the scenarios that Morey has turned down over the years. Feels like we will be selling cheap.

    Morey is basically mortgaging this team's future in order to win now. If he'd built a more balanced roster, this Capela trade would make sense. But at this point it's not clear that the Rockets have what it takes to beat the two LA teams. The Capela lob has basically been the safety valve for this Harden-Westbrook offense. The only great return I see is a deal that involves John Collins (who is a future All-Star). Not sure Myles Turner is an upgrade.
