BOB is that stereotypical Texas ******* HS coach. He's all show an no substance but he will fool the powers that be with his tough guy bravado
They need to also focus on being able to offensively perform when Fuller can't play. That need to focus on spending the off-season coming up with a play to gain one yard from inside the opponent's 20 since, according to their coach, they didn't have one against KC. They need to focus on adding screen passes to a running back to their offensive repertoire. They need to focus on clock management. That need to take a 'when to challenge' class. They need to focus on when to abandon a pregame strategy (e.g. mediocre rookie DB single covering one of the best tight ends in the game) when it is clearly not working. I could go on and on.....
Doesn’t matter Brian. No shame in losing to the eventual super bowl champions Brian. Our guys went up 24 while the other teams only went up by 10. We were the second best team in the NFL Brian.
Um....couldn't pay both. Honey Badger even admitted he was not a system fit for the Texans. One reason he left. They had a defense with both....and they lost in the 1st round with Honey Badger being torched by the Colts' TEs.
I'm stating a FACT. The Texans couldn't pay Honey Badger the $14m plus he got from the chiefs. Look at the Seahawks, the traded Frank Clark to the Chiefs and he was a big reason for the Chiefs playing better in the second half of the season.
RAC’s system maximized the other talent on the D. They are not going to change for a safety signed for 1 year. The system will change in 2020.
Yup Clark and Honey Badger were big additions, as was the 4 other starters they replaced on defense. But don't forget Reid completely overhauled his defensive staff bringing in Steve Spanguolo along with new DBs, DL, and LB coaches from outside the organization. What are you basing this on? BoB has made changes like these in the past, but it has always been more of the same.
Um.....you have a new DC. Weaver coached under Rex Ryan...and is said to follow his philosophy. More Aggressive defense.
So you're saying the offense will remain the same since they do not have a new OC. That's a shame. They will continue to not have a fourth and one play from inside their opponent's 15.
Where did I say the offense would remain the same? We were specifically talking about the defense. Honey Badger and Clowney are DEFENSIVE players. We don't know what is going on in the offense. We will assume he is giving up play calling by adding the GM title. We will have to wait and see. Im thinking he is taking more time with those changes. We may not know until the offseason program starts in late March/April?
