The LTS championship window is however long this fuking POS tilman owns the franchise. Whatever happens at the deadline, we'll get under the taxline first and foremost

Take all of our firsts from 2020-2030 but damn it, I'm not going over that Luxury Tax! Not by a cent!

In the end, if you think about it, Capela for Collins also means that for the next two years we instantly lower the salaries by 10/12M, pretty much perfect to be able to stay under the tax going forward even considering James and Russ salaries increase and a MLE tier player added to the roster, that sounds literally perfect for Tilman lol.

What do you mean “in desperate need of spacing” ?? Lol

Harden hasn’t had great shooters around him his whole career . Yet he’s always been pretty good. He hasn’t a few here and that’s enough . Spacing takes his drive and kick game to the next level , but James is a versatile player that doesn’t need 4 other shooters to be a good player

    Paul
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Ariza

During our championship run. 5 out.

    Gordon
    Ariza
    Ryno
    Clint

    4 out...

    Westbrook
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Capela

    3 out...

It’s pretty simple. To maximize our best player you damn well better have atleast 4 out and 1 in. Ideally 5 out. 3 out and 2 in is suicide. No way we win anything that way. Clear the paint.

Teams are sagging off Clint and Westbrook. Have you watched the Rockets the last couple weeks? Can only afford to play 1 non-shooter at a time, always and forever.

If we aren't using Capela to obtain a starting caliber wing, then it's simply not worth dealing him imo.

I disagree. Russ and Capela in the line up worked for half a season, but come playoff time it's going to be a lot easier to defend our team because of lack of spacing.

I'm not opposed to getting a big guy capable of hitting threes to space the floor. I am okay with taking the defensive hit since the Rockets aren't playing consistent defense anyways.

I’m interested in a Clint/Collins trade if it also creates a TPE, might be worth around the mini-mle. Providing we use it of course

Small for the center position? At 6'9'', he's too tall for MDA and won't get playing time :D
Shot-blocking is the only defensive strength? Sounds like Capela.
Not a good midrange shooter? Good thing we don't shoot midranges.
Not a ball handler? Good thing we have 2 MVPs and an EGo.
    Got suspended for PEDs? Uhh...uhh...

I'm not sure why some of you guys talk about Collins as a center, the guy is a pf who can play center but not full time, i'd still epect the Rockets to get a center if they get Collins, and slide PJ at the 3 in the starting lineup.

The reason to trade Clint is to go 5 out. That’s why you expect Collins to be the C along with PJ

I get that, but full time? I wouldn't expect it, also cause for as much as i like Collins i don't think he can handle the spot full time, yet at least.

harden is averaging 36 ppg this year and he play a good chunk of minutes with clint AND russ on the floor. I know spreading the floor helps him. My point is he isn't worthless if you dont manage to cram in 4 shooters around him.

MIke played PJ, House, Sefolosha and Harden full time at center against Porzingis and Gobert despite having Hartenstein and Chandler on the bench. I think you underestimate Mike's willingness to go small.

Neither KP or charmin gobert play big. That’s the reason you’re able to go small. And they can’t guard on the perimeter either.

Now against the likes of the lakers or bucks. Yeah it’s suicide

Yes. He isn't lights out, but he will keep defenses honest.

If we had a top 3 defense, I’d be totally fine with Westbrook & Capela flanking Harden.

Since we have terrible defense, we gawdamn better have spacing.
Obviously he isn’t worthless, but the Rockets are.
