Sorry for insulting the face of the democratic party. I didn't realize he was your idol. Makes perfect sense though.

Personal attacks don't make up for the fact that the GOP is an authoritative party

I'd love to hear your take in the thread I just started. It's so ironic you link the GOP to Putin when the Democrats are putting a Socialist up as their candidate. But wait... Is this Sweet Lou or is it NYorker or is it >>>>. I fell for the bait. You got me.

Putin and Trump are clear allies and GOP congressmen and officials are repeating Russian propaganda. Too bad you have to resort to petty personal attacks - I guess you feel your argument is weak.

Why? Is something annoying you about it? Perhaps, not a big fan of first amendment?

Personally, I'd love for this thread to be stickied, so we can always be reminded that 45th president is a crook who has been impeached but thanks to his cult was able to suppress the senators of his party into becoming a national joke.

No. Censure might not have even made it to a vote in the Senate or been able to get as many witnesses in the House because there is no Constitutional prerogative behind it. With impeachment we have had a public trial on the floor of the Senate with a debate on witnesses. The Senators have had to go on official record with votes on witnesses and ultimately to convict or acquit. Those will matter both to their voters and to history. In practical terms Senators like Gardner and McSally will have to explain their votes to constituents that overwhelming wanted witnesses and in Gardner's case a state that voted against Trump and in McSally's case a state that voted against her in the last election.

I'll repeat again. Trump might've won this battle but this might lose them the war. This will certainly add to the baggage that the GOP will have to carry into the next election. Gardner and McSally might've guaranteed they get to the general by staving off a primary challenge from the right but the voters of CO and AZ are not going to look kindly upon these votes. The words of Alexander should be brought up in again and again in this next election. The President did exactly what he was accused of..

yeah, nobody is making you visit it. Some of the posts aren’t going to age well as more and more info comes out, like Trump’s senate lawyer being part of the whole crooked mess from the start, and arguing against witnesses. Noyce!

It's amazing that Trump has managed to get people who don't like him to lie down on the train tracks for him

Honestly stopped listening at the "Why didn't they call John Bolton..."

This has been debunked over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

I'm sure they knew it going in.

Also, a lot of their candidates can get back on the trial, I doubt they wanted a long senate trial, but I think even if they called Witnesses it would have helped them out. Because the GOP would acquit NO MATTER WHAT.

Even if Bolton sat there under oath, even if they had damning documents, the GOP would acquit.
