No but gutter oil is still a go. It is eco friendly and a lot cheaper. Plus the high heat kills most of the pathogens from fecal matter and urine.
I don't know, I just quoted doctor Zhang word for word with the provided translation, who said it to the media in a public statement. I think he meant to say RO which describes how infectious a virus is? Maybe some wrong translation on the correct term used here. Here is doctor Zhang( who doesn't seem to be long for this world) after he said he will send party members to the frontlines. The virus genome has been published and shared for a week now and the virus has been recreated by an Australian lab. All these people have studied and conclunsively and emphatically have said it is a natural virus. No offence to indian scientists but I put more importance to americans european and australian scientists and labs opinion. The chinese use HIV drugs as an experiment since there is no antiviral drugs for the Wuhan coronavirus.
The Lancet has some very interesting studies done. The coronavirus epidemic is very likely to have started since October instead of December. However when it comes to the source it is not so conclusive and puts forward many different hypotheses. From having read the study, in my opinion the first case could be a wild life animal seller or handler who worked in the Seafood market or nearby. Their statistical model also puts the infections in Wuhan at more than 75.000 and that infections in other Chinese metropolises are rampant and epidemics there will start by next week.
Mostly from the guardian https://www.theguardian.com/world/l...-toll-who-global-health-emergency-latest-news and some NYT and WP journalists who are staying in Wuhan. The chinese media too which is a very eye opening experience and teaches a lot of life skills like how to turn black into white and how to excuse and justify in a nice and polite way reprehensible acts. For the greater good and for the people!
Semi-related...AA announced today that they have suspended all flights in and out of China until late March.
So uh, looks like I’m not going to be headed home for a while. I know it says that the new travel ban thingy isn’t for American citizens but I bet they’d quarantine the **** out of me for 2 weeks if I fly back. Thankfully here in Beijing things haven’t been affected too much (I can still order 外卖 no problem and get groceries). But yeah for some perspective from inside China people are pretty scared and there’s still a lot of stupid misinformation being spread about the deadliness of the disease but otherwise it’s life as usual and the holidays have been extended. I’m dying to play some basketball though...nobody wants to, sadly. Got a couple of laughs wearing my Batman shirt out in public though.
That's nuts. $200 lol for a chance of getting really sick. If I were forced to take that flight I would decontaminate my entire seat. And take a ton of other precautions.
Good info from the failing NYT, bros. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...wYiJd1i7gBycCTdIOWk2q0XaBEzC3B0wWaGaCad1MIRPo
Makes you think ..IF Measles or Smallpox were newly formed viruses how much damage could they do now that humanity is so closely interconnected? Without any experience in treatment, without vaccines, without test kits. If patient zero was in an urban center , with millions of people around him and planes and trains carrying the infected all over the continents?
