I hope you are right, but IMO the minutes have caught up with him.

 

No question. They need to play him with the group that he played with in Utah. Sefolosha rivers house EGO, tucker and the bench will thrive. These guys need an 8 minute stretch together per half and the team will bebetter

Didn't look like he tried to show him up to me. He took what the defense gave him and had a good game. He wasn't forcing things

 

Good queestion but the better question is :
WHO can tell Harden no in this organisation?

We have Westbrook now and he critisized him but even that was with kid gloves.

Who can tell him to sit when he wants to be out there?

And the downward spiral of James Harden continues... It's crazy how just a month ago he was the front-runner for MVP & averaging 40 PPG on insanely efficient shooting & then boom 2020 hit & this guy forgot how to play basketball. Don't know when or if he'll return but damnit I'm missing the 2019 Harden, hope we get to see that guy again.

 

We had plenty of drives in that second quarter and had only 3 ft attempts at the half and one of them was a tech. That's really where the game was lost.

 

At this rate we will likely be bounced in the 1st.

I want to like this team, but man I really hate watching them right now. I'm so sick of them. I fooled myself thinking I should watch them tonight. I was doing a good job watching minimal games for the last 5 games.

 

No way, even when he doesnt get calls, this is straight ridiculous. No way anyone declines like this in one season bro. I know hes been mega ass but this is now how things work. Hes playing hurt, its gotta be it.

It may help in the regular season but he isn't doing shiit for the rox when it gets real, in the postseason.

 

usually I'd be optimistic with morey and trade deadline around the corner to make a move to improve things but yeah i already know how that story goes with LTS and a sorry owner

If you can't visually see the difference in the excess pounds Harden picked up since 17-18, then I doubt you watch Rocket games and just stare at box scores. It's really ****ing apparent.

Dude was lean as **** in 17-18. He was actively talking about his diet that off-season when CP3 got here. He lost that leanness.

Remember that facial he did on Draymond in the playoffs? He can't do that now.

 

last i checked he has a ring so yeah he actually did enough stuff in the postseason

Which is what I said would happen. We had a brief period where I thought it could work.... but it's now looking obvious it doesn't work. When Harden has the ball less, he goes out of rhythm. And the more games it happens, the more he goes out of form.

I always felt when Harden and Westbrook are out there together, it's the worst thing to happen to Harden. You can double team Harden for most of the game and it'll stop him being in rhythm. Because Westbrook can't shoot the 3pt shot, it's easier to double team Harden and leave Westbrook open for the lane. And yeah, Westbrook obviously has demanded the ball more from Harden... it's maybe affected his rhythm.

It isn't a coincidence for the past 11 games or so that the other teams have pretty much put Harden out of rhythm due to all the double teaming. He can't find his range. He's not allowed to find his way into the game due to them double teaming him at half court. Then you see him forcing up shots.

Westbrook has been great and all, but we're now seeing why having him on your team is a bad thing. We never needed Westbrook in the summer. I would rather us traded CP3 for a couple of shooting players and defensive players. This isn't me having a go at Westbrook. He's having an amazing season, and he'd be amazing if he was the main ball handler in another team. I just feel this team doesn't suit him due to not having consistent shooters in his team.
