A.I. used to be the ****, now he is **** becuase things like this. I mean what coach or team would want a guy who says he dosn't have to go to practice or work out and MUST start even if its not the best things for the team?

See Pedro. Sometimes you gotta yank the starter for his own good. Maybe Ford knows something.

    Agreed.

Another presumpion: Ford probably did that on purpose. He wanna set his authority in the team.

    ah.

As a typical 'bolshy' boy - AI, do you think there is any likelihood of his agreeing to it?;)

Didn't his team lose that game by a humongous number because he didn't start?

We're sitting here ... I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're in here talking about starting. I mean, listen, we're talking about starting. Not playing time. Not playing time. Not playing time. We're talking about starting. Not playing time. Not the time that I go out there and die for. Not playing time. We're talking about starting, man. I mean how silly is that. And we're talking about starting.

    AI is unique, uniquely so.

AI will be starting in this league for years before Ford gets his next head gig -- even if Ford is right!

i'm not saying ai is right, but perhaps ford should pick his battles better than practices after the all-star break and not letting him start as if it's a huge deal when he gets in the game first.

Wow, why did I think that he had grown up? That's just the epitome of ridiculous. The dopes just mad that his team sucks.

Could it be true that iverson is so selfishly stat orientated that he don't want to play games with limited minutes which lower his ppg (since i bet he is trying to take over tmac leading position) so makes the starter excuse to not play?

Philadelphia's Allen Iverson fights his way to the basket against Memphis' Bonzi Wells on Tuesday.

Iverson's return no help to 76ers -Star 0-for-7 in second half of loss to Grizzlies

Here is part of the article

Iverson¡¯s last-second 3-pointer was off the mark, and the Grizzlies had their 42nd win, guaranteeing the franchise¡¯s first winning record.

Iverson returned to the 76ers starting lineup after missing four games with a bad knee, and two days after he refused to play when interim coach Chris Ford told the star guard he would come off the bench.

Iverson finished with 10 points, all in the first half. He missed all seven of his shots in the second half, mainly while reserve point guard Earl Watson was defending him. He also received a technical for arguing a non-call.

There was a play. Iverson with the ball and Tyron Hill stood near the basket without anyone else in close vincinity, Hill was just about under the basket and Iverson chose to dribble past him and made a lay up.

    Unbelievable.

Olajuwon came off the bench after his injury didn't he? We were smokin hot and he didn't want to mess with the chemistry of Larry Smith at the time.
