I don’t give a damn. I was a federal prosecutor for a decade. He did what he did and just because he is dead doesn’t mean what he did to that girl is just swept under the rug. He was a great basketball player and also a man that got away with a brutal rape. His legacy is and always will be both.
Pretend for a moment. His victim is reading this thread. A rape victim is reading this thread. Would you say the same thing if he killed someone? Shhhh his family may read this. What about the family of his victim? Also the only reason I keep posting about it again and agian is because people tell me to shut up. This is intollerable It is extremely offensive to say to someone to be silent about a crime commited.
Multiple reporters have communicated with Rick Fox via text after the crash killed Kobe. He is confirmed alive.
There isn't anyone saying shut up about rape. Simply the place you are choosing to discuss it as well as the time. There is a time and a place which you obviously can't comprehend.
Nobody knows dude. This literally just happened an hour ago, reports will continue to come out for a long time.
I appreciate everyone’s condolences on my son. That happened over 3 years ago and life after losing a child forces you to see everything differently. There’s no other way to live life again really without changing everything. but i only share that, not because it’s about my loss, or anyone else’s really. Again, countless people suffer pain and loss each and everyday. I share that simply to say that I remember Kobe/his daughter and reflect on loss. How painful and searing it can be. Loss is something, regardless of race, religion, whatever, will crush us all at some point in life. This is a time to observe that and mourn together as we can all be unified in the fact that loss hits hard and cold. but after it’s taken it’s toll, then comes to peace and joy that life is full of blessings as well. Both pain of loss and joy of life can coexist. In fact, the joy of life increases when pain of loss is respected and observed. Now is the time to observe that pain.
Wow this doesn't feel real. Can't ever recall an icon such as Kobe passing away at such an early stage post playing career. RIP Mamba, daughter, and other souls on board.
woj said in this tweet there was another player and their parent. It’s in the post you replied to me on.
Nobody currently knows who that player is, that is what I'm trying to say. This is a nuanced situation and I guarantee you the cleanup is still going on.
A time and place to call a spade a spade? No I can't get it and I refuse to. If someone raped your daughter and then got killed would you just shut up about it because he died?
I would go way out on a limb and assume it's another player on his daughter's team and their parent, since they were traveling to one of the daughter's games.
