i am talking to a guy at the fcc about changing our status. We have to change our directional antennae at sundown to protect a station out of Chicago that's not on the air but the change is a tedious process and costs a ton. Be patient, between that and our efforts to convince Infinity we need to webcast we'll be back. As far as J&L straying from sports I do talk to them about it. I like the way their show go's and they do well in the ratings. When there is a big topic they stay on it and they do a better job of promoting local stuff than anyone else (The girl from UH today, Reed Gettys today, Willis Wilson today, etc...) but are not the prototypical 'let's talk about the Chiefs trade moves' show. Their personalities are what make them successful. I do like the input from people and ya'll know that I can't stand any cynicism, ESPECIALLY towards my beloved Rockets so trust me, I am trying and I love hearing from you guys. Chance
That is good to hear. We have a local ESPN affiliate and they shut down at 6 every night. I would much prefer to listen to something a little more local. And webcast would be ideal with my lax schedule at school. I have the opportunity to listen between 9:30 and 11:00 and then again from 12:30 to 1:30
Is this antennae thing why I go through dead spots in Spring now? I never used to go through all the dead spots that I do now.

holy crap, ab didn't realize that i was listening to you this morning. funny stuff. i was wondering why a comedian would be on 610 and actually thought at the time if you had considered anything like that. loved the lakers versus the kkk lines.
Well thank God. There is nothing worse than being stuck in traffic on Shepard (damned Spur) going to court and hearing an entire segment on manhugging. I love 610, but I own CDs and am not afraid to use them.
Chance, I respect your opinion but I'm gonna have to disagree with you. If he is an "amazing broadcaster" should he have to use those devices? I'm not knocking his broadcasting skills because I do think he is good, but I think those things make him sound small market. The worst sound effect is the "no". I think he said that is one of his bosses? Is that funny? Maybe to those of you who know him. I guess I shouldn't b**** about the celebrity birthdays since it really only takes up :30 seconds of a two hour show, but I just don't think it adds to a show. What does it prove? Do we really need to know what days Mike Ditka or Sally Struthers were born? To me that's :30 seconds or a minute that a caller or an interview could have used. This is not a rag on you because he's been doing these things long before you arrived. And I do think you've brought an energy to the station and you seem to have a knowledge of what people like to hear since you were one of us at one time.
