    What I see:
A Sacramento team that has been great all year without Webber, now reloading with arguably the best frountcourt, best bench, and best team chemistry in the league. Post play, passing, perimeter shooting, even a little bit of defense now and then.

A T-Wolves team that has been strong but is starting to slump. Arguably has the league MVP and top PG in the West, but misses a good center.

A Spurs team that should never, ever, be underestimated.

A Lakers squad full of infighting, discontent, a distracted and hurt Kobe, zero frontcourt depth coupled with a sluggish O'Neal and hobbled Malone, and worst, a pouty Payton.

A Dallas squad that still hasn't figured out what their game plan is, but a scorching hot Michael Finley.

A Memphis team that would argue that they have the best bench in the league, and are by far the scrappiest. I have my doubts as to whether this is a team suited for the halfcourt-oriented playoffs, though.

A Rockets squad starting to gell and find itself behind JVG and Yao Ming.

A slumping Denver squad that overachieved early, and a Utah squad that personifies its coach.

    IMHO

    1. Sacramento to win the west. They have been tremendous all year, and now with Webber - Look out.

    2. San Antonio is damn good, I think it'll be Sac vs SA for the West conference finals.

Only two teams I think will storm the West.

I think the Rockets and Memphis will give some major fits Minny and LA, but not enough to supplant Sac or SA for Division titles.

Sacramento is always the pick to win the west for the past like 2-3 years buuuuuuuut...somehow they manage to screw it up.

There won't be any running of the tables this year in the West. It's too damn good/packed to think any team can go in and take out every team with ease.

That's mostly true. Except, I expect Denver (if they make the playoffs) will be swept in the first round. Utah would also get swept. Portland might not.
