You would need a situation with an exceptionally dumb owner.

Maybe one who just took over a team, with a big enough ego to overrule a GM.

Just a perfect storm of incompetence and self confidence.

I would feel bad for that team.

Would Mark Cuban fit the criteria? Is there a way to package Westbrook and draft picks for Luka Doncic?

Cuban ain't dumb. He is a legit billionaire and has proven to be willing to spend.

We could only wish. But it might cost us more draft picks to get something back that we should have never traded.

Westbrook does not move the needle, even when he is playing well. He is being paid $38 million this season and $41 million the next... that’s more than Harden and Westbrook doesn’t add much overall to the team.

Westbrook is not the guy that is going to help Harden win a title. It probably won’t happen, but he needs to be traded to acquire some assets which could be used to improve the team.

A $40 million dollar star has to be an absolute game-changer. Russell Westbrook is not.

You might as well trade Harden.

You will get a bigger haul for him, and ypu can go back to running an actual NBA offense.
