Seriously, did the announcers talk about Mo at all at the beginning of the game? I thought i watched it, but never heard anything. We're playing scott frikkin padgett on Marion and Amare, and no one can make a shot at all, and they don't even mention Mo. I didnt even hear his name until the 4th quarter. No question, with Mo, we would have easily taken this game. Without him, and with Yao on the bench in foul trouble, our team was in total disarray. Another observation: How come Francis can't get open to catch an inbounds pass, yet Barbosa does it with ease? Barbosa is nailing 3 after 3, and where the heck is Steve? Our transition D was pathetic, as Mobley lazily backpedals and gives up a layup. Tonight, every mistake that we could have made WAS made. Every pump fake was fallen for, every rebound was tipped around wildly. Just a completely frustrating game to watch. Near the end of the game, it looked like Steve was about to get ejected when he blatantly pushed a suns player after they scored a basket. We need a leader who will not get flustered in these situations. If Yao had any help tonight (JJ did a decent job, but tried to do to much), we would have won going away.
I thought Padgget killed us tonight. We did lead most of the game. Would be a easy win, if MoT could play.

The funny thing is, Yao had at least two dunks right on AS, but the guy doesnt even challenge those because he knows he will get posterized. At least Yao got his hand up there. However he needs a little work on the shotblocking. Duncan would have rejected AS on at least one of those dunks.
Why would anyone see it as standing up for Yao? It's not like he had never been dunked on before. Steve was only frustrated (1) the lead was down from 21 to 9, (2) Amare was doing his monkey scream and drifted towards him. So he lost his head. If you want fight, go watch some freaking hockey.
I bet this was the exact thoughts in our guards' mind tonight. BTW, Yao was 11 for 16, 19 boards and 6 blks. Yao didnt carry us? How about guards stop screwing up.
That punk was 7 for 26. It was marion and balbosa saved his ass. He forced shots after shots, kept missing. Marion just cant miss tonight. But again, 3 spot is exposed with bigger, stronger opponent.
I was glad Steve elbowed Amare a little bit, but realisticly it was stupid, just as it would be if Yao punched someone. We don't need another Bertuzzi incident just so Yao can 'prove' himself.
