We lose and Spurs loses also.

We have a better chance to play against T-Wolves in playoff. That's not a bad thing.

I think we've got a situation where JVG has convinced the guards to play inside out... but they don't really believe yet. Believing that it's best to play inside out, for them, is essentially the same thing as admitting that either A. they're definitively second-fiddle to Yao or B. that they've been playing the wrong way for the past few years.

Those are both tough things to admit. Steve and Cat have pride - they don't want to acknowledge that Yao's probably just better than they are at the offensive end. That's tough for a veteran to acknowledge about a rookie player. But they really, really need to figure out that it's absolutely necessary to defer.

I think the main reason that he has a prick in his derriierr against Yao is that they have similar stats but Yao is getting the media hype and endorsemnt deals that in his mind why he shouldn't have to the same degree.

But when he looks in the mirrorr, his attitude is a big part, doing that in your face bs without the stats of Shaq, or Kobe won't give u crap in terms of media endorsements.

I think its just cheap to show boat like that play when your team is in the basement dewllings of the conference.

I'm not saying that Yao should do this all the time. However, he could occasionally put the ball on the floor and attack the rim when he's facing the basket. I think that he has the ability to do it. Of course he should not do it if he's crowded, but when he has an open lane like in tonight's game, he could certainly drive to the basket.

Don't give me this difference between PF and C stuff. Hakeem was a center and he drives to the basket all the time. It is true that Yao is not as quick as Hakeem, but his handling of the ball is not bad at all from what I see. Yao putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim would give the Rockets offense a whole new dimension.

Our guards fell to pieces. How many times do we get to watch Cat (please, please, for the love of God, TRADE HIM THIS SUMMER, PLEASE) give someone the and-1?

And Amare Stoudemire....Amare, Amare, please grow up. I can just see him in the locker room: "F*** Yao Ming. I'm gonna dunk on him." So one of his seven made shots, out of 26, is a dunk over Yao and he reacts as if he's experiencing twenty first-time orgasms rolled into one.

Yao, I don't care if you get suspended for it, just kick him in the nads next time.

I never said it was there only problem tonight. The backcourt and the coach threw their 2 cents in as well.

And as fas as the inside presence goes, you don't have to be 300 pounds to be effective it the paint, in my opinion. The Suns frountcount causes problems not because of there size, but because they are a quick and rangy team. You couldn't find more wingspan on a Land of the Lost episode.

Jeebus, what a horrible game, I'm tired of complaining of the same damn things, damn turnovers, damn players, I won't mention who.....sigh.....I was so happy during the winning streak the Rox were on, made my week so much better, then they come up with this pile of crap to start the week. I've been suggested to stop watching them until the playoffs start, at least by then my anger and shouting will be kinda justified since they will be competing for the biggest prize in the nba. But for now, I think I should stop watching them or I might break everything I have. I think my blood pressure may have shot out through the roof when the final buzzer sounded.

I taped the game, just got done watching it. Couldn't attend because i had a lab. And i have to say now that i'm very glad that i didn't go.

This was the longest, most painful rockets game i have ever seen.
From the time we were rolling in the first quarter, i just knew that we would blow this game. We were relying too much on the outside shot. It was obvious that we really missed Mo and Spoon tonight. Padgett was absolutely terrible.

in the second and third quarters, we couldn't even beat a simple full court press without turning it over what seemed like 10 straight times. No one could catch a pass without fumbling it, no one could throw a pass without it getting deflected. No one could even hit the rim when we managed to throw a shot up.

Jim Jackson: stop trying to drive the lane against this team. they are too athletic and quick.

Cato: catch the ball just once, please.

Francis: just dribble around frikkin Casey Jacobsen, dont pick up your dribble and throw a weak cross court pass. Oh yeah, and how bout you make a shot, pal?

Cat: had one of the worst games i've seen from him in quite a while. just constantly made wrong desicions, forcing passes when he has a shot and vice versa.

Yao: good job in the fourth.

whole team: we really need to work on lob passes. any team just shows any semblance of a front and we just completely go away from Yao. Our hustle was bad and all the loose balls were snatched by the suns. Our rebounding was also atrocious.

It's obvious that we really missed Mo and Spoon. I watched the whole TNT broadcast but i never heard them mention why they werent playing. Kinda frustrating to watch our offense struggle so much and no one even mention where the hell Mo is.

Man, what a frustrating loss. I am a big time Rockets fan since the Hakeem era and I am not even from Texas. I live right by the Lakers and I despise them. I've been following almost all of the Rockets' games this year. All I can say is, Steve Francis sucks. He cannot dribble, handle the press, pass, shoot, or any other basketball skills for that matter. Yes, he is atheletic, but that will only take you so far. The guy is just not too bright.

Bottom line is, I would love to see the team get a real point guard that can compliment Yao. He is the heart of the team. Reminds me of the good old days when Hakeem and co. was in command. I think the game just ruined my day. Oh well, hope they'll rebound.

    ...that boy Yao got skills.

See, when I read a comment like this, I don't think the claims of (thinly veiled) racism on this board are that far-fetched.

    KeepKenny,

You can't expect Marv Albastard to mention Mo T, he dosen't even know who Cat and Steve are. Did ya'll hear him confuse the two tonight?

Maybe Marv should pull his head out of his huggies the next time he decides to do a Rocket's game.

Laker did not lost to Magics. That's difference between Rox and Laker, faced the same crapy teams, been forced to OT, but good team pulled out a win at final. :(

Oh, come on. You can think Mobley and Francis are athletic but basketball-stupid without being a racist.

I've seen the race card being used too oftne here lately for my liking. I think it's because the players on the team that are being called racist happen to be black.

But, really, does anybody on this board think Jason Kidd has a low basketball IQ? Mark Jackson? Tony Parker?

No, no, no. Race has nothing to do with it. Most players in the NBA are black. Therefore, according to the law of averages, most of the dumb ones are going to be black as well. I don't think it's particularly disproportionate.

I thought I always bet on the wrong side. Damn:(
But lose to Suns is not too bad. It exposed our weakness. The full cour pressure is killing us. We will see more of these in playoff.
And Cato shouldn't be start PF anymore. He can be a solid backup C. He has no offense.
