I know there are a lot of names and possibilities, but staying in house is the way to go. Keep some consistency, a little bit of chemistry and manage the sh*t out of this club, and win the damn world series to shut everyone up!
While I hear what you're saying, my thought is that the players are already familiar with him and you provide some continuity. If you bring someone entirely differently, which is possible, IMHO, it'll be hard to re-create the chemistry and the players comfortability. but what the hell do I know, Crane's clean slate may mean start from scratch, new culture and all...#stealitback
Probably too old school for what the Astros need/want, but he was really good before being shackled by Uncle Drayton.
Ron Washington? Tony LaRussa would be kinda sweet. I though Gabe Kapler with the Phillies got a raw deal.
Espada was a Yankee coach in 2017 and was hired as Cora's replacement as bench coach for the Astros in 2018.
I'm kind of shocked that Buck Showalter is only 63. Those are some old f**king candidates. If these are the options just roll with Espada.
