He's been one of the best players in the league this season..... but he's always one of the best players in the league when he's fit. But yeah, most of the Lakers starters and bench are stepping up contributing.... hence why they're winning most of their games.

Compare our starters minutes to the Lakers starters minutes. 37.2 minutes for Harden, 35.2 minutes for Westbrook, 35.1 minutes for Tucker, 33.5 minutes for Capela, 30.7 minutes for House..... and even Gordon has nearly 29 minutes. No wonder our guys are gassed out by the 4th quarter. MDA literally doesn't trust the other guys. Look at how much the Lakers spread out their minutes for the whole team.

If Harden had the same amount of help from his teammates, the Rockets would be winning more games. I also doubt Harden would be forcing up 3pt shots just to get us back in the game.

There's no way in hell Rivers is better than Rondo wtf.

Didn't rondo have a 20 point double double last game. When was the last time Rivers got more than 10 points and 5 assists

Houston players fill their roles too. Standing in the corners waiting for James to pass the ball.

until Tilman realizes depth actually matter, things aren't changing. Him trying to save pennies by signing borderline nba players isn't going to cut it. consistently signing these guys since hes been here just gets worse and worse as this not so young team gets even older

Lakers fans would trade rondo for rivers straight up. You go twitter/ IG other messages boards etc. they hate Rondo. This ain’t 2008. He was of the worst defenders in the league too. Lmaoo

It's like you've never seen how role players in other teams score the ball.

Also, a lot of the threes the Rocket role players take aren't even wide open.

Teams double Harden in a way where they force the ungaurded player to drift towards the mid range area of the court. Harden passes to that person. Harden stays still allowing the help defender to recover to the open guy and now you have a inferior player trying to create a shot off the dribble or a catch and shoot attempt that is still being relatively guarded.

House is bottom-of-the-barrel garbage. Tucker is useless on offense these days. MDA stinks. Hard to find hope with this team.

Look at it this way, 3M more to use as salary filler in a trade...at least assuming his 3 year deal isn't considered a bad contract at this point, lol.

That what I hated about House and especially Gary Clark, the contested catch and shoot, even EG does it. Like why are you taking that low % shoot with a hand in your face as soon as you catch the ball? Makes no sense.

Because it's the only offense this team can generate because they've been conditioned to do it that way.

The sad thing though is we played an athletic, long team that played at a fast pace and they had at least ten guys play more than 10 minutes, the Rockets are have a the second part of a back to back tomorrow and only 7 guys played more than ten minutes. Coach is showing little confidence in a lot of the bench players to even play spot minutes in multiple quarters throughout the game. Perhaps the short rotations and other teams using more players sometimes might be a contributing factor to breaks down in transition defense throughout the game. As someone else mentioned with no lob threat for the Rockets it is easier for the defense because there are less options. Teams knowing Harden/Gordon/Rivers are not stopping for a mid range shot, the rim protector for the other team just needs to wait for Harden etc to come to him within 5 feet of the rim while the other defenders look for a corner pass if the Beard and company is not shooting a floater. Defenses that get back can expect to rest on many occasions thinking the Rockets are going to run the clock down to 7 seconds left before an aggressive move to score occurs. Westbrook brings a change of pace complimenting Harden in that the defense can't always expect to watch and rest until the clock gets to 7 seconds left.

I think House is frustrated with his role. I love James but it’s hard to blame him. I’m not sure a lot of guy would love to play in this offense.

Trading De'Anthony Melton was a mistake
