I was talking to a co-worker today and he mentioned that Shandon was most likely going to opt out of his contract. I am sure that the Rockets will be looking for a replacement and I was wondering if someone like Alvin Williams could be possible. Because of his performance in the playoffs, I wouldn't think that Toronto would let him go. Does anyone know his contract/free agent status?

Alvin is a free agent this year. He may be the only one that says with Vince, Davis and Oakley are gone.

When Mobley was being courted by the Raptors, I heard a big draw was that he and Alvin were good friends. Maybe we can turn the tables and get Alvin here. I also wouldn't mind seeing another Raptor's Williams here...as in Jerome Williams. Both players are young and would fit our uptempo team.

I think Alvin is 6'4" and loved by Lenny Wilkens.

What I meant to say was both were born in (less than a month apart) and raise in Philadelphia and played against each other in school. They been known each other most of their life.

Alvin Williams could only be useful to us if Moochie Norris left the team.I don't think he would want to come here because he is the starting point guard for the Raptors.

Ok, we'll replace OUR Williams w/ 2 of the Raptor's William's. Hey maybe they'll trade them to us for our Walt...maybe not [IMG]
