...and Mamadou N'dyai, Boris Diaw, Tony Parker, wasn't Kobe born in France?

    Bring it on.

First of all, your team is not even the top 5 - Bibby over Kidd? McGrady over Garnett?

    Nash
    Peja
    Kirilenko
    Dirk
    Yao Ming

would have a good shot against your Bibby, T-Mac, Kobe, Duncan, Shaq team.

For some reason the best player in the NBA right now is being left out of theis whole country dispute. Where is KG?

    Foreigners:
PG: Nash, Parker, Milos Vujanic (supposed to be the best PG in EuroLeague)
    SG: Peja, Manu
    SF: Dirk, AK
    PF: Duncan, Dirk
    C: Yao, Gasol, Ilgauskas

    US:
    PG: Kidd, Marbury, Davis
    SG: McGrady, Iverson
    SF: Kobe, Pierce
    PF: Garnett, CWebb, JOneal
    C: Shaq, Ben Wallace

I think that's a pretty accurate 12 man roster, considering everybody accepted the invite to play. US has a clear advantage when it comes to the backcourt, it's deeper and more potent. In the frontcourt the Euros are much longer. You have Dirk (7) and AK (6'10") vs Kobe and Pierce, neither are taller than 6'8". The PFs cancel each other out and the C's are pretty even. It'd be a phenomenal 7 game series. It would probably depend on homecourt advantage.

Sorry, I don't know how to edit the post. Anyway, I wrote Dirk twice. Maybe move Gasol to PF and put Divac as a backup C.

Looking at the different roster configurations, here are my thoughts.

    1. The international team lacks depth. Of course, this is partially due to the fact that we don't really know the great players playing in Europe right now. But on the whole, you'd think the US team to have a major advantage when the teams go to the benches.

    2. The US team just doesn't seem to mix as well as the international team. Kind of like how Barkley and Hakeem never really meshed in their days here in Houston. Too many low-block players and not enough people good at a supporting role. On the other hand, the international players make up a great TEAM. In that I'd expect some great passing and shooting from that team, running their offense in the efficient manner that the Mavs and the Kings are accustomed to.

If Duncan plays for the World team, I'd say it's a pretty even match. As someone pointed out, the US team probably has more depth. But there are some very good international players that are not playing in the NBA and we don't know them. These guys might even be better than the second tier foreign players in the NBA.

But if Duncan belongs to the US team, then forget it.

The international team is like a upgraded King's team. The US team is like a much upgraded lakers. I think it's pretty even but the US team will be more clutch.

Yeah, don't leave Bodiroga off any World team, he makes it on merit. Maybe not the quickness to play big minutes in the NBa though...
