I was there 3 weeks ago, and seemed fine. I actually saw less homeless people then I did when I was there 8 years ago.

I did hear like a specific area of the town that was bad. But that's literally the same as any other big city.

Haven’t watched the video (given the Fox source and clickbait title), but I live in SF, walk literally all over the city and am happy to answer any questions.

violent crime just hit a record low. Homelessness is still a big problem, and has been for at least the last 20 years. Every single neighborhood seems to have gentrified now. Internet/tech culture has been very rough on the city in many ways, and it has amplified the crazy divide between haves and have nots.

we have a new very liberal DA, and that’s probably not gonna be good (according to me).

I’ve traveled widely around America, and San Francisco is not one of the places I would call American dystopia. East TX maybe, parts of central South Carolina. Parts of the UP in Michigan. Parts of the lower CA Central Valley. Yikes.

    not SF though.

I think the series is intended to paint Nancy P in a bad light since that's her district.

I've noticed the new trend by the left to push a 'no cash bail' agenda. I don't know if there has been a thread discussing the fact that George Soros is funding democratic DA's who will not prosecute obvious crimes. I believe he contributed to Harris County's DA, Kim Ogg's campaign. I find it disturbing that he's involved local politics.

I just noticed @Jayzers_100 is a prosecuting attorney (his signature). Maybe he'll catch this and shed some light.

Here is the 2nd part that touches on the prosecutors and a particular business owner. He doesnt leave so I guess he really shouldn't complain too much.

my brother and his wife both works in SF with around 300k net income still pay rent of roughly 5k monthly in Danville, not many houses worth buying, nor a decent house in acceptable (neighborhood/schools) can be found near their workplace, very similar situation to Vancouver
