I have this cartoon that I saved about GW Bush that went like this:

    Running Government Like a Business

If you had a manager who:

    1. Incurs huge cost overruns.

    3. Ignores the company's own data.

    4. Makes unrealistic self-serving projections.

    5. Changes his stated goals to fit results.

    6. Spins bad news as good news.

    7. Hands out fat contracts to friends with no public bidding process.

    8. Has difficulty working with partner companies.

    9. His PR blunders hurt company brand name in international markets.

    10. Employee morale is down.

What would you do to him?

    ON THE ECONOMY:

GEORGE BUSH: “[W]e will not pass along our problems to...other generations.”
THE TRUTH: $1.9 trillion in new debt over 5 years, with deficits continuing thereafter.

    ON TAX CUTS:
GEORGE BUSH: “The tax relief is for everyone who pays income taxes...Americans will
keep, this year, an average of almost $1,000 more of their own money.”
THE TRUTH: Nearly half of all taxpayers get less than $100. And 31% of all taxpayers get
    nothing at all.

    ON SOCIAL SECURITY:
GEORGE BUSH: “[W]e continue to work together to keep Social Security sound and reliable.”
THE TRUTH: The costs of the Bush tax cuts exceed by 3 times the entire projected shortfall
    in Social Security.

    ON JOBS:
GEORGE BUSH: “Our first goal is...an economy that grows fast enough to employ every man and
    woman who seeks a job.”
THE TRUTH: Bush is the first President since Hoover to preside over an economy that has
lost jobs, not created them – more than 2.9 million since 2001.

    ON THE ENVIRONMENT:
GEORGE BUSH: “[My] Clear Skies legislation...mandates a 70% cut in air pollution from
power plants over the next 15 years.”
THE TRUTH: The Bush plan will allow more than 100,000 additional premature deaths by
2020 than alternative legislation developed by the Environmental Protection Agency. The
plan does not regulate carbon emissions and allows far more sulfur and mercury emissions.

    ON EDUCATION:
GEORGE BUSH: “[W]e achieved historic education reform – which must now be carried
out in every school and in every classroom.”
THE TRUTH: Bush cut $8 billion from the promised funds for education.

Let me get this straight, you would be totally OK with hospitals turning away people who are in serious need of medical attention based on their inability to pay? If so, that is beyond cruel and approaches absurd.

You really are a drama queen, huh bama?

You really think that plagues of locusts and massive floods would accompany an asteroid strike were the US to try to rein in massive health care costs?

This statement deserves another  .

Totally washing the government's hands of the issue is not a solution. You have obviously not read any history because we HAD a libertarian government early in this century and we found that there are people out there who will screw over anyone they can to get richer. We have also found that corporations tend to be even MORE ruthless, cruel, and destructive than people are, especially when it comes to turning a profit. Many of the government agencies are there now because of those issues and you (I thank God every day that you don't have the power) would just turn back the clock and allow those people and corporations to do pretty much whatever thay want.

    Great solution.

As was beaten to death during the campaign to change the state constitution for med mal cases, legitimate med mal cases outnumber frivolous claims dramatically, frivolous claims make up a tiny percentage of cases. A loser pays system (while a good idea in theory) will help things about as much as capping damages has.

Good for you, but those charities would not be able to help everyone who needs it, especially if the country took your suggestion to start turning away patients who couldn't afford to pay.

Crack cocaine is bad for you Bama. Drop the pipe and slowly back away. Only someone with a brain that has swiss-cheese holes in it from crackrock would post something as stupid as what you posted above.
