James Harden is an underrated defender. He has become a very solid defender. He has lapses sometimes or the occasional game where he is exhausted but he makes up for it with numerous good plays.
This. I still laugh at players that think they can take him one on one in the post. Good luck dislodging Harden's fat ass lol. Harden also has very good hands around the basket. While he may not block shots, I have seen him make plenty of clean swipes at the basket. And he has always been good at playing the passing lanes and getting steals. But clearly most people with agenda like Ernie dont watch the games.
Harden has improved every single season no matter who he is playing beside. To attribute it to Russ is kind of silly to me.
dare I say it, Harden is a good defender this year when he is actually trying. However, he has games this year where he just completely takes the night off on the defensive end when he's getting doubled on the offensive end. It's like he's throwing a tantrum or maybe he's just completely exhausted because we don't load manage him like we should.
People cannot deal with facts, Harden is so game-changing that everyone feels threatened. I really believe if he had a family, light skin, no beard, that he would be much more appreciated and heralded just like Curry is now.

Harden is comfortable with Russ. I think there is quite a few players who would be better next to harden like dame lillard and kyrie Irving but I don’t think those guys especially kyrie would be okay with doing it the Harden way and Russ is. cp3 wasn’t it worked one year and was okay last year but not good enough. for better or worse this is hardens team and it must be done his way ppl imo need to except this. If he doesn’t win a chip his way then he just doesn’t get it done but I think hardens way is good enough if he’s comfortable and I think he’s got his guy now in Russ.
