Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dallas and Houston are the only 2 teams in the top-16 to not make a Conference Championship Game last decade, right?
Doesn't matter Brian. AFC South/NFC East Champs Brian. America's team Brian. Still selling out the stadiums Brian. Yes, correct.
Conley broke up 3 important passes. Martin had a sack, another qb hit and i think he recovered merciless' forced fumble. Duke 3&18, 2 huge runs and blocked 2 defenders to clear deshaun for that td.
That is correct, yes - though, to be fair, because of this: "1. NE: .781," all those AFC teams were competing for one spot. Pittsburgh reached the conference championship once; Baltimore twice (this year pending); Kansas City once (this year pending); Denver twice; Indianapolis once. New England was 10-10 until this past weekend. And the Texans this year are.... pending! So, there's that.... But, seriously - the Patriots are bananas.
Why would you want a guy back who's decade here didn't accomplish a damned thing? Craziness I tell you.
I'm sure there were two different regimes and lots of blown rd 2-4 picks. Along with some really bad contract extensions and FA's let go and bad FA signings to replace them. But hey, if you want more disappointment be my guest.
Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Texans will try to extend Watson this offseason, but Watson wants to wait until Mahomes has signed his new pact so that he can try to trump it. And because Kansas City does not want to reach an accord with Mahomes until a new CBA is in place, a new deal between Houston and Watson may not be consummated until the late spring or early summer months. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2020/01/texans-to-try-to-extend-deshaun-watson-this-offseason
On a related note, BoB said he will spend this whole offseason devoted to figuring out his coaching problems.
I like Watson but there is no way in hell he deserves more money than Mahomes. Mahomes again showed that he is on another level compared to everyone else.
Jags made it and were a few plays away from a Superbowl. Titans have now too. So that's the entire miserable AFC South minus the Texans. And all of those have done it during the BoB years.
