This beyond stupid and I swear most of this forum don’t know anything about basketball. You never get better trading a hall of fame player for role players. This only increases hardens workload adding players that can’t create for themselves or others.

We just destroyed the number two seed in the west and people are talking about trading star players. It’s ridiculous and embarrassing. You guys still do not appreciate what we have.

harden - westbrook combination is working... they could win 70 games had they decide but they are load managing and its smart

btw rockets are top 5 defense team when they decide to play defense

Personally i don't think we should trade Westbrook for that packege, at least if that would be it. But in a fantasy scenario, if after that trade we could re-use some of those assets or make a 3 way trade from the go to get a guy like Holiday, it wouldn't be a bad idea imo. The Rockets could re-use what they would get there, and trade a combinaton of Bamba, House, Ross, Hartenstein, Clark and whatever, plus picks and try to get a guy like Holiday. I don't know if/how that would be possible, but if it is, this starting 5:

    Capela
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Harden
    Holiday

...would be probably better then the current one. Holiday isn't flashy as Wesbrook, not as good as a rebounder, but he's a better defender, better shooter, smarter player, can still create for himself and others, younger, cheaper, and also a great fit with James cause he can play with or without the ball. Gordon over House would be a clear upgrade of course. Team overall would also get younger, longer...

Holiday is not as good of a player as Westbrook period and he isn’t a good shooter at all. The whole scenario is silly and making moves for the sake of making a move. We already made a move this summer. The only thing we really need is a long forward.

Well that trade wouldn't be all about Westbrook and Holiday.

Personally i don't know if at this stage of their careers Holiday is a better player then Westbrook...overall i'd probably say no, although i think a lot of people would actually say yes, but he's defintely better then Westbrook in a some aspects like shooting and defense so, i can actually see if there would be an argument here since it wouldn't be about Westbrook vs Holiday, but Westbrook vs Holiday plus Gordon.

i dont know what yall see so much in gordon either. he isnt that good. i bet the magic wish they didn't max him. what is it exactly yall think he does well ? shoots 40% overall, 29% from 3 and yall want to give up assets for him ? he can dunk...ok cool. he doesnt take pressure off james and he can't create.

our team is great as is IMO. id rather have a player that has carried a team before over any of these role players yall keep wanting to trade him for. james needs someone that can lift us up when he is being doubled and tripled or just having an off night. westbrook has led a team to the playoffs in the west. he is going to the HOF. i would never trade him for anything less than that. more role players is not what james needs next to him. westbrook gets us easy baskets for our role players while also being able to score himself. his energy is infectious. james is a laid back low energy player. the contrast is good for us. westbrook can get us going when we are dragging, but james and calm him when he gets too excited. i feel like they can bring out the best in each other. i just see why you are all insist on trying to tear down what we are building. can you guys really not see how much better we are since the start of the season ?

Some of yall just want to go back to the 2016-17 Rockets.

Surround harden with a bunch of role players that cant create thier shot or create shots for others. We seen how that ended up.

Just have harden do everything. Score, create, carry the team every single quarter. Fight to bring them from down deficits when he goes to the bench. If you want to go back to that, then just blow it up and trade harden too

Well, they didn't max him, he's getting 18/17M in the next years, but he's still pretty young, athlethic, can guard multiple positions and he has been improving every year as a shooter, although this season he regressed for some reason, but there's obviously room there. The bolded part is kinda funny though, cause those are also Westbrook's current % and how you can kinda describe him lol.

And you talk about the need of having someone who was able to carry a team before, are you talking about Westbrook? Cause without Harden and Durant he couldn't carry anything really, he ended up underachieving every season by getting basically swept for three consecutive years in the 1st round, last season he couldn't get past the Blazers even by playing with the best Paul George ever while Holiday actually did it the year before.

With that said, don't take me for one who wants to get rid of Westbrook or think we should trade him no matter what, i actually think at least for this season we should ride with him and give the team some time to gel etc, what i'm saying is that i can also understand if someone thinks moving Westbrook for more players with less downside could work out.

I saw the number 2 seed team catch up to us in the 3rd quarter until Harden came back into the game....dumb a—

Without Harden we stilll have a cluster f—- attack. Hall of Famer (Westbrook) got traded for Hall of Famer (CP3)

Harden got traded for spare parts x Kevin Martin, Lamb and first rounder (became Steven Adams)

I proposed T Ross (12.7 pts and under contract control) age 28
Aminu (4 pts and under contract control) age 29.....scored 9.4 pts per game last yr
Bamba (5.8 pts and under contract control) age 21....capable of shooting 3’s and blocking shots better than Capela
Aaron Gordon (13.2 pts and under contract control) 24 y/o.....but scored 17.6 pts/ gm 2 yrs ago.

Westbrook scores 24 pts per game (thanks to Harden and fellow players spacing the floor)
A Gordon/Ross/Aminu/Bamba score a combined 35.7 (and would score more while being next to Harden
and fellow players spacing the floor.....what a coincidence).

Play makers Eric Gordon, Rivers and House would still be with team. Add Aaron Gordon and T Ross
and you have a better offense. Add Aminu and Bamba and you have a better defense.
    You can step off clown.

I liked the part where you trashed a player for shooting 40/29, when at the moment Westbrook is 43/23 and shooting the ball WAY more....

I fail to see how James has calmed Westbrook. At ALL. He’s only shot the ball more per game in 2 other seasons of his career. And this is one of the least efficient ones yet. Hell we have reduced Westbrook’s time with the ball significantly compared to his OKC days and his turnovers haven’t decreased....

It’s ok to trade HOF players when they are no longer playing like one. Hello Dwight!

All that said. We aren’t trading Westbrook.

westbrook has been playing like the star he is a month straight. he hasnt done that since his MVP season. if you cant see it or just dont want to acknowledge it then thats your own hatred blinding you. no scrubs from orlando are going to make us better unless they are being able to be added without giving up key pieces.

    18/19:....................66.3
17/18:....................74.3.............WB/Capela both 35.6 (in 19/20). Stat goes to AG

*I’m not interested in Westbrook’s numbers with the Thunder. WB is with the Rockets now and I look at numbers
meshing with the Rockets. I project Aaron Gordon numbers to uptick due to spacing and complimenting Harden
as an outside shooter vs with a lesser Orlando team.

You don’t want me to throw in numbers by T Ross and Aminu and Bamba. Not saying the Magic
would do this deal, but they would have the nucleus of Westbrook/Jonathan Issac/Vukevich(?) moving forward.
Trade Fultz for picks or PF. Climb to 5th seed. J Issac has a much higher PER than Gordon at a fraction
of the cost.....that’s why I have them giving up on A Gordon. Westbrook has re-built his brand thanks
to Harden/Rockets (spacing). No doubt A Gordon is having a bad season....the remedy would be joining
the Rockets/D’Antoni scheme. He does all the play types that the Rockets need and usually scores
    well with them.

But there would be pieces out there with maybe 2 teams, using Westbrook.

    Legit question:

Does anyone really think Resillo has legit sources telling him that Westy is available? I’m being dead serious.

FWIW.... I think he’s a stone cold Rockets hater who will say anything/everything he can to plant discord in our team! If Westy is on the market after 3months on the team I guarantee you Harden is going to demand a trade. He isn’t CP3/Melo who were on this team solely for analytics reasons, he’s here because Harden truly wants him here! For better/worse they have a true bond between them that management better respect.

Having said that, I do think that if this season implodes and they finish lower than 4th seed, and don’t show major improvement next season, Westbrook can be had by the trade deadline.

    Go Rockets!!!

We have an insane amount of schoolboy rage pent up from the media selecting Westbrook for MVP.

I’m not sure how much better a player can be then Westbrook’s last 10 games. He has been a filthy monster and that is simply a fact. The two games he has sat, we have lost.
