Enjoy! One early observation and question: why is Jamie Foxx narrating this?! He sounds odd and tries to put his mark on this documentary in a way that is unnecessary.
This is a good film. However, I agree that the narrative flair is unnecessary and distracting. Rodman’s story is crazy and amazing enough on its own. You really don’t need the gimmickry to make it interesting.
Yeah, exactly. It is really good and I'm glad they showed the mother, daughters and they were honest about Rodman that they understand he acknowledges he hasn't been a good father, but fails to turn that realisation into action. I would've used that one annoying author in a diner less, not the Bad as I wanna be who was quite good. I also think it was great they had players from different teams, including David Robinson who somehow was pinned as this anti-Rodman who disliked him for not living as a christian should or some ****. Media tried to twist that so badly, glad David participated and shared his honest feelings that it just was a bad fit in the end yet acknowledging the success they did have. I was surprised by Isaiah Thomas breaking down, but very honest moment right there. Not sure I agree with the sentiment that nobody was really looking after him in Chicago like they did in previous years. It seems a bit he's hinting at the family like atmosphere and bond in Detroit that he never found again. I believe he did have that in Detroit, but nobody had a grip on Rodman after he became the outgoing guy. And Phil treated him very well, was concerned and got involved personally. Still, I understand where Thomas is coming from. Also really liked how they showed what that whole Korea episode was all about and man it's crazy how he's always intoxicated. The saddest part was his acknowledgment to his body guard that he knows people only hang around him because of his money and name. I really liked how his body guard was not just a goon, but actually cared.
