It’s been a busy year for me. Lots of reflection and time spent praying and with family. Plus I’m a surgeon and I teach medical students and residents and do research and am in the middle of writing a novel, so I haven’t made the time this year. But the biggest reason I didn’t watch was that I was cynical to start the year and after realizing the joy the game brings me I decided to give it another shot just for the love of the game. I am going to be optimistic and all in because the team is growing and getting better. You can see from the chemistry and even watching highlights from beginning of the year until now. I understand your lack of optimism. I was there just a month ago but I’m feeling the love again brother. Let’s hopefully celebrate a chip at the end of this year
I always appreciate this bc you do it when it’s appropriate. I have always found it funny and I love it brother. You’re one of my favorite posters @DreamShook
I am very hopeful based on our talent level We do have a bit of roster imbalance , but our guard advantage outweighs our big disadvantage. However, I feel like MDA is gonna ruin our chances . #1 I feel like he will get owned by some of the better coaches in the league if we match up in the playoffs . #2 he’s gonna wear our guys down with his 7-8 man rotations all regular season long and playing guys when they are banged up . The league has moved towards load management and MDA must get this all in by skipping practice?
You make some great points. We need a lot of guys playing to win a chip.. Even our championship years it seemed like we had a lot of guys play and different heroes every night. Championships are hard to win but I’d say we’ve earned our share of experience and hopefully MDA and company put it all together this year.
Oh, the question of if MDA coulda got that team to 1 or 2 championships is totally subjective and unverifiable - just asking your personal opinion... You know the rosters... you've watched MDA's abilities over the last few years (and prior)... does he take that squad to the promised land? Does he do it twice? Imo... we'd have had a better regular season record and seeding both years - with no rings... jus my opinion.... and when Nene went out in the playoffs... and MDA still kept Trez pretty much glued to the bench... running shortened rotations... leading into the 'meltdown' game... what a sh#tshow that was... with no Kahwi.... smh.... Imo that showed MDA's real mettle... and if by 'bias' - you mean that I have an opinion - guilty! lol ...its even in the sig...
Hey we all have our bias but we can agree to disagree. Not sure if D'Antoni would have maximized Dream like Rudy did. But Rudy had a chance to coach a similar player to Harden in Kobe and results were nothing special. MDA system has allowed Harden to become the historical player he is now, that is undeniable. MDA also took CP3 the closest he has ever been to championship game. Doc could never get him to WCF, even in his prime with 3 All Stars. And those Clips teams did not just have more all stars in their primes, they were deep especially compared to Rockets.
My fellow clutch fans. Please go to Instagram and like the post from today by @humairkhanmd. It would mean the world to me if you were touched by this and showed some support. Thank you and God bless you all this holiday season. May you all have a healthy, wealthy and prosperous new year. Ameen.
The game against Denver was inspiring. Look at how we adjusted with the double teaming of Harden: more passing and more involvement of the whole team. It looks like Harden is learning how to unlock the best in the team. This is similar to the teamwork and passing we saw in clutch city when they would double dream in the post. Happy new year Clutchfans! #2020 #let’sdothis #clutchcity3 #thriceisnice
